Why Would An Auto Insurance Claim Adjuster Come To My House? |
Jun 01, 2009 by socalkevin21 | Posted in Insurance
I was recently in a motorcycle serendipity and broke my ankle. I am not at fault..... but the other parties Insurance Claim Adjuster is coming to my house to pick up a duplication of the police report and a receipt for a prescription I needed filled. Is it normal for a claims adjuster to happen by the other party's house?
Retirement community insurance covers lots of different things. I'm not familiar with all the fine print of my programme, but my home insurance agent is always helpful. Try visting your agent or a homeowners agent in your urban district. http://www.easyhomeinsuranceguide.com They should be able to help you.

How To Become An Auto Insurance Adjuster? |
Mar 02, 2007 by amandapjohn | Posted in Insurance
I get along in Georgia, and wanting some details on becoming an auto insurance claims adjuster, I currently work for an towing institution have some experience in vehicles.
also, how much money do they make?
The rebutter will vary depending on if you want to become an Adjuster (one who investigates liability) or an appraiser (one who only estimates instrument damages.
First off, either one can be a very stressful, thankless job. Depending on what company and location you could start as a trainee in the intoxication 20's or low 30's. A good way to get into either position is to get a job as a trainee at a large insurance company. That is where you will get your vanquish training and more importantly experience.
Check with jobsites such as www.greatinsurancejobs.com or www.careerbuilder.com
You might also probe with any local vocational schools in your area as many of them are beginning to offer classes in becoming an adjuster.

Can A Auto Insurance Claims Adjuster Reopen An Investigation After It Has Been Resolved???? |
Apr 21, 2007 by zizi | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Geico assigned a wacko adjuster to me who is either genuine brilliant or extremely stupid. She decided to reopen an investigation that she had resolved and approved my payment.
The only plead with they asssigned this woman is because my insurance is less than 55 days old.
Does this sound right?
She has kept me waiting disclosed all of her disparaging life and retreived info from my previous insurance carrier without my approval.
I feel she is overdoing it with my claim.
What rights do I have and how far can they go??
Whenever a claim is reassigned the new adjuster has a fealty to review the entire claim and reopen the investigation if necessary. Adjusters can access your ex insurance history, without your consent, if necessary. It sounds like your claim is in the fraud unit which isn't a big handle....claims on relatively new policies are often looked at a bit more thoroughly everyday. But they no more than don't see a claim and say oh the policy is 55 days old let's move it to fraud. There are several underlying factors in addition to this that would root it to go there. And once it's in the fraud unit the rules are drastically different. You don't have any rights and how far can it go? Worst circumstance scenario to the district attorney's office or attorney generals office....but it has to be something incredibly heavy to get that far.

Insurance Adjuster Questions Auto Claim Releasing Medical Employment Records? |
Jun 03, 2007 by Jimmy Craig | Posted in Insurance & Registration
We were hit by a four sheets to the wind driver insured by State Farm. We had medical treatment for about 3 weeks totalling about $5000 each. Now we are worrying to settle with the adjuster who is less then ethical in my opinion. He did all sorts of "say one thing do another" epitome of things so far.
He phoned me last week to tell me he was going to send a form requesting our medical records for the nursing home visit only as he has all the records for the followup care. Keep in mind, jst the hospital.
What a I received in the mail was a elevate to allow this adjuster all of our entire medical history AND our entire employment history! Since we are self employeed, there was no squandering of employeed work time, but my business dealiongs were placed on hold. I was in the course of action of remodeling my home for sale and this had to be put off for a month due to injuries.
I am not comfortable with this slimy adjuster having access to all this data he does not need. Why are they asking for it?
This is yardstick procedure -- release of medical records will speed up your settlement. ALL companies do this and the sooner you arbitrate to work WITH the insurance adjuster the sooner you will get this behind you -- unless, of course, you have a prior medical get that you are trying to cover up.....

Auto Insurance Claims Adjuster Question (Previous Or Current Experience)!? |
Apr 01, 2009 by henryswrecker_fr | Posted in Insurance & Registration
How much would you straighten out this claim for assuming coverage was 100K?
Driver A (your insured) ran a stop sign at 7:45pm and hit driver B in the center of the channel and flipping the car (totaling the car). Driver A fled the scene, abandoned the carrier and hid in a nearby field. Search dogs retrieved her 2 hrs later. At this time, Driver A submitted to a PBT and blew a .16 (twice the judiciary limit). Driver A was arrested for DUI and felony hit and run.
Driver B was taken to the polyclinic via ambulance, treated and released. Driver B ended up with Soft tissue impairment and Nerve Damage in 3 places between the neck and shoulder. Driver B missed 3 weeks of business and then was on light duty for another month. Driver B's husband had to miss work in sort to care for Driver B's small children. Driver B's total medical bills for ER, MRI, Orthopedist, and 2 months of PT were 8k. Vanished wages were 3k. Driver B took almost 1 yr. for recovery (as good as it's going to get).
Driver A plead sorrowful to all charges.
Under state law, this case meets the requirements for Driver B to be awarded correctional damages.
This question is for informational purposes only! Please do not say hire an Attorney! Solely seeking expert OPINIONS!
Thanks!!!!!
The employment is such that your insured is in an indefensible position. If the case goes to a jury, it is highly probable that the injured woman and her family will draw the sympathy of the jury.
Your insured is not usual to be a sympathetic figure, and most likely the jury will want to punish her for her actions.
In an serendipity case that did not involve alcohol, or running from the scene, I would expect the settlement for injuries to be somewhere in the $35,000 distance, and this does not include the property damage, and rental car costs.
In this case, the insurance flock is at serious risk of a very high jury award. In some cases, if the injured party offers to subside within the limits of the policy, and the insurance company refuses, the insurance company can be held liable for the unrestricted award, even if it greatly exceeds policy limits.
The fact that state law allows for retributive damages means that you may want to settle this for the policy limit.

How Do I Get A Job As An Insurance Claims Adjuster For An Auto Insurance Company? |
Feb 21, 2009 by reallydarkwillow | Posted in Other - Careers & Employment
I am interested in changing my craft to become a claims adjuster. Now I work in a body shop as a painter's helper / jamb man. I have a bachelor's step by step in Economics and I once held an insurance license in South Carolina for life, accident and condition insurance sales. I don't like selling, though.
I have a good eye for detail, particularly with paint work and I am dexterous with digital photography and computers.
I need to know if my experience is enough to get an entry devastate job as an adjuster or perhaps a similar type of job inspecting work from body shops for insurance companies.
Also, what duties would such a job cause, and what is the typical pay scale I could expect upon entry and after I have done the job for a few years?
Is there anything I can do now to better prepare me for the trade, such as getting some kind of license or specific research I could do online to train myself in my free time?
Thanks in advance. The more detailed information you can give me the better.
You are gets satisfactory jobs with using the following webiste. I find this site is very workable and important.

Anyone Have An Idea About USAA - Regarding Auto Insurance Claim? |
Jul 15, 2007 by abhadra2000 | Posted in Insurance & Registration
My daughter was hind part ended by someone with USAA. The other driver got a ticket and it is a clear that the other driver was at fault. I have submitted all the papers that they asked for. It has been 50 days since the disaster and I have not heard from the claims adjuster - I have left messages. The two times that the adjuster called, she made it clear that she was hellishly busy. Anyone have any experience dealing with USAA? If so, any and all advice(s) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
Honourableness luck...I hear alot of BAD things when it comes to that company...Third party claims are never that conspicuous to the adjusters...The are seen as losing money...Best bet would be to use your own insurance company...if not to file a claim but to at least make available some assistance with handling USAA...that is part of the services that you are paying for..~V

MPI fraud arrests grow
10.11.09
The largest auto-insurance flimflam artist case ever seen by the Manitoba Public Insurance grew Tuesday, after 11 more people were arrested, Winnipeg the fuzz said. A total of 37 people have now been arrested and charged in connection with an inquest police have dubbed Project Rollback, police said. Police said Venture Rollback disrupted an organized gang's scheme to defraud MPI by rolling back the odometers of recently purchased out-of-territory vehicles, staging fake collisions and/or reporting vehicles as stolen. The quest began in 2008 after an adjuster at the Crown corporation noticed irregularities with a claim. Police said the scrutiny revealed that members of the group received inflated insurance payouts for the vehicles that exceeded upright market value. MPI said the bogus claims go back as far as 2005 and perhaps earlier. The near value of the alleged fraud was $800,000, police said after coming onward with details of the investigation in mid-August.
