I Need Help/advice On An Auto Insurance Claim, Please.? |
May 14, 2009 by CharChar76 | Posted in Insurance & Registration
About 2 weeks ago the gentleman that does our greensward service (its part of our rent) accidentally broadsided my parked car with his riding lawn mower. He was very likeable about it, gave me his insurance info and even called me the next day to let me know he got the claim started on it. The insurance company then called me and asked me to take the car to get an guesstimate & send it in to them. So I did. When they got my estimate they called me & gave me 2 options of how to settle the claim & get the repairs made. Opportunity 1 was for me to pay it out of my own pocket & they would later reimburse me. That's not an option, I don't have the money up front to pay the repair bill & how do I know for unswerving they will reimburse me and in a timely manner? Option 2 was to take the car in, have it repaired & the shop will bill the insurance company. I unmistakably have to take Option 2 but the problem is that this is our only car so we would have to borrow or rent a car for a few days. To rent a car that will fit a family of 4 (2 kids in carseats) will set someone back about $40+ a day and the repairs are expected to take 2-3 days. I don't feel like I should have to pay that. I can sponge my parents car when they're on vacation but that will be a couple months. In the meantime will the claim expire? I don't want to seem swinish but I would feel better if the insurance company would just send me a check that I can put in savings and use later to get the car crooked when I can borrow a car. Is that an exceptable request? The options given to me don't seem right somehow & I don't feel it is comme to have to pay for a rental when the accident was not my fault. Any advice?
I should mention that the insurance company is not willing to pay for a rental. All they did was give me the 2 options & advice on how & where to fee a car. They told me the repair shop should give me a rental but the shop says they only offer alternate services.
The insurance assembly should provide you with a replacement (rental) vehicle, while your car is being repaired. You are in no way at fault in this situation, and you should not be out any period money or inconvenience.
Contact the insurance company and inform that you will need replacement transportation for the every so often old-fashioned that your vehicle is in the shop, and that if they refuse to pay for a rental, you will not settle the claim, but will be filing suit against their insured. This most able can be filed in small claims court, as it is a property damage claim, not an auto accident.
In mignonne claims court, you do not need a lawyer.

Advice To Win Insurance Claim For Auto Accident. The Other Driver Was Cited For Driving At Unsafe Speed? |

my girlfriend was in an luck, the other driver was cited as driving at unsafe speeds in 25mph zone based on 65 feet of skid marks and a provide statement to police. my girlfriend was pulling out of a alley (right hand rebel) and he came up over the hill down towards her. Once he saw her, he slammed on his breaks, skidded into her. cops estimated he was doing 80. My son and girlfriend both injured. He is fighting the citation and his insurance denying offence. I took pics of car, son injuries and accident scene. any advice
Onus insurance covers only the last point, while comprehensive insurance covers all three. Even comprehensive insurance, however, doesn't fully counterpane the risk associated with purchasing a new car. Due to the sharp decline in value immediately following edge, there is generally a period in which the remaining car payments exceed the compensation the insurer will pay for a "totaled" (destroyed, or written-off) instrument. So-called GAP insurance was established in the early 1980's to provide protection to consumers based upon purchasing and merchandise trends. The escalating price of cars, extended term auto loans, and the increasing regard of leasing gave birth to GAP protection. GAP waivers provide protection for consumers when a "gap" exists between the solid value of their vehicle and the amount of money owed to the bank or leasing company. In some countries including New Zealand and Australia customer base structures mean that people are more likely to purchase a nearly new car than a new car so this is less of a problem.

Looking For Some Advice About Handling An Auto Insurance Claim.? |
Jul 04, 2009 by Aaron A | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I was Byzantine in an accident on a 4 lane frontage road around a mall. I was driving in my right lane adjacent to an SUV. The SUV merged into my lane impressive my car. I reported the accident to my insurance (Company A) and made a claim against the other drivers insurance (Company B). Company B has decided to only repay me for 50% of the damage because they claim the frontage road is only 3 lanes of traffic and that I was traveling in the mall parking lot.
After this ruling I submitted to Train B 1) photos of the accident scene from (taken while before the vehicles had been moved) 2) indecent prints from the city planners office indicating 4 lanes of traffic 3) a shape statute outlining legal procedures/requirements for passing on the right.
I have a $150 deductible on my game plan. But I'd prefer not to have the accident on my record and to save my $150. So thus far I've been handling Company B myself.
After submitting the additional low-down to Company B if they still only offer 50% what is my next step? I'd like to avoid making a claim on my insurance. Everyday claims court? against the insurance company or the other driver?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

to cut a lengthy story short, my boyfriend was acting like a drunk fool, and threw a buddy at a friends car. he did some damage to her fender (FYI... he works at a car dealership) so he can get the parts and get the vocation done on the car. My friend still wants to claim the damage***** now, I have another friend who is an agent for "X" auto insurance, she said no one should claim! ADVICE.....?
your woman can claim the damage on her policy and be subject to a deductible she will not be able to file against your policy since this is not a car to car affair if she files to her policy she can say it was simple vandalism and it will be comprehensive claim or she can say who did the damage and her insurance will attempt to meet from your boyfriend.

The adjuster will run an estimation to determine the actual cash value of your vehicle. You can explain to them that you just replaced the apparatus. They may require receipts confirming this. That may increase the value but only slightly. Just recollect, your vehicle is 10 years old, not brand new so you aren't going to be getting an horrible lot of money
