How Long Does A Car Claim Take For Me To Get Money?

I was in a car calamity in October and screwed my back up totally. I was the passenger in my mates car! I put a claim in within 2 weeks of it happening and still haven't heard anything from the security company or had a medical from them!? My mate hasn't heard anythin either! Does anyone distinguish how long it takes to pay out?
sorry i'm from the uk and on the NHS so i don't pay for my medical treatment anyway!

At the score in time your doctor releases you from treatment, you take all your medical bills that pertain to the mischance, and add them up and submit a claim for the amount you are out, and hopefully the insurance will reimburse you. THEY don't find you medical treatment.

Who Has Ever Filed A Rental Car Claim With Their Credit Card Before?

I have a rental car and I damaged the rims minorly. It would price me about $350 to get it replaced on my own. The credit card I rented it with said they had coverage. But, I called the rely on card that I rented it with and they were vague on what they would cover. They said submit the specific claim and then we'll see...

What is the under way and what will they reimburse/not reimburse? Should I just get it fixed on my own. It's a scratched rim by the way.

The trust card company should have sent you a policy booklet when you first received the card detailing what is covered and what is not with devoirs to their rental vehicle coverage. If you lost it then see if ti is online or ask them to send you a copy. This is the only way you will conscious for sure if it's covered or not.

How Long Does It Take Progressive To Pay On A Car Claim?

I was in a car explode 2 weeks ago how long does it take for the insurance company to pay on medical payments claim? I also have frenzied wages but my limit is 5,000 per person so will they cut me a check or just send it set to rights to the doctor owed? Thanks

You submit your medical bills to Continuous & they will review and pay accordingly. They will be sure the bills are accident related (they will not pay for a visit to the pediatrist if you injured your arm in the fortuity) & pay up to your medical payments limit. Once your medical payments coverage is exhausted, you have to submit the bills to your medical guarantee.

What Is The Average Time Taken By An Insurance Company To Pay Out On A Car Claim.?

I surmise it would depend on the nature of the damage to ones car and also who was at fault. However in my case, my car caught fire from what I on may have been an electrical fault. It is now a total write off. I realise the insurance company has to complete out it's investigations but how long should this take and how soon would one expect to receive an offer.

I made a claim 6 weeks ago and am still being fobbed off with the explication that the investigations are on-going.

Between six weeks and ten years would be stable. All insurance companies first duty is to avoid paying out on claims. If they pay out too readily the premiums will increment for everyone. Lets face it business is business.

How To Find An "Independent Auto Appraiser" With Stolen Car Claim?

Greetings everyone.

I had a 2003 Lincoln LS "supreme" stolen about 3 weeks ago. My insurance claim period was only 15 days and they gave me an extend of private party KBB. First of all, is that average?

I was told from other people that their insurance companies give them full retail value on amount loss claims such as stolen or totalled. They said if I didn't like their guerdon, (2K below full retail) they would hire an independent appraiser and I would have to hire an independent appraiser and then it would be averaged between the two. Get is $150-300 which I would have to pay. How do you find an appraiser without having the actual car? Is this hassle worth the 1500-2000 I can get back?

First off, I'm surprised that the society used KBB instead of CCC or ADP. Those are two computerized evaluation systems based on actual selling prices of vehicles from dealerships around the mother country. I don't believe you can have access to the CCC or ADP databases, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask. Sorry but I don't have their connection info with me right now.

If you can't get access to CCC or ADP I would ask your insurance company to have the report run. If need be, proposition to split the cost. Your half should be less than $50.

I would recommend that before going through the appraisal process. I have handled claims that have gone through this answer and it is not fun for the vehicle owner.

If you still need to find an appraiser I would suggest trying to locate an aside from adjusting company in your area that has an auto expert on staff. You can look for one on these websites.

Take in sure to find out if the appraiser is licensed.

They owe you Actual Cash Value (ACV) which is the same as the retail selling honorarium, not asking price.

Good Luck.

If My Car Is Stolen And In An Accident, Can A Claim Be Made On My Insurance?

Can victims of an accessory caused by my car claim against my insurance even if the car had been stolen from me?
Just wanted to add that this is a hypothetical situation that I was discussing with someone this morning... I wondered whether the occurrence that the thief had had an accident with the car would just make it even worse for your premiums afterwards (despite the truly that it had already been stolen)

You would be surprised how often this lay of the land actually happens.

If your car is stolen and the thief caused damage or injuries to big-timer else your policy would not cover it. In order for your policy to cover damages either you (or somebody you give sanction to drive your car) must be negligent and legally liable for those damages. Since the car was stolen and not under your control you would have no failure or legal liability.

The injured people could try suing you, but the court would toss the at all events out because again you would need to be legally liable.

I have handled a couple stolen car claims where our policyholder pink the keys in the car and somebody stole it. The thief then caused damage to somebody else. The other dinner party then tried to claim that our policyholder was negligent for leaving the keys in the car. I denied the claim and the other party found a King's counsel dumb enough to sue us. The court dismissed the case saying that while leaving the keys in the car wasn't au fait it did not constitute negligence for the damages.

Buying Another Car During A Stolen Car Claim ?

My car was stolen about a month ago and the claim is still under inquest. If I were to buy another car during the process, would it effect my claim on my previous car or would I be fine. Im simply asking because I really distress another car and waiting on my insurance is not helping.

So i figure i'll finance another car, then when i get my settlement check I'll pay most of it off. .... ?

Buying another car will not less your claim. But it still could be a bad idea. It may take a long time for your insurance company to culminate their investigation and if your making car payments on the car involved in the claim you still need to make those car payments until your claim is settled.

And, you stand in want to make sure the insurance company pays the claim before you buy another car. They probly will pay as extended as there was no fraud or crime involved. I would wait until the insurance company pays your claim before buying another car.

Can You Make A Seperate Car Insurance Claim After The Event?

A few months ago, someone ran into the back of our car while it was staionary.

Yesterday, our car, with Handbrake on, rolled off our keenness and into a neighbours car, causing £100 ish of damage.

I suspect the earlier bump may have damaged/haggard the handbrake pad (car forward ahil stationary). Could we claim the £100 back as part of the first insurance claim?

Not if the first claim was settled. If you settled, the amount you received was a full and absolute settlement for all damage caused to your car, and should have been used to complete all repairs.
