Can You Make A Seperate Car Insurance Claim After The Event? |
Nov 02, 2007 by jay_w_uk | Posted in Insurance & Registration
A few months ago, someone ran into the back of our car while it was staionary.
Yesterday, our car, with Handbrake on, rolled off our suggest and into a neighbours car, causing £100 ish of damage.
I suspect the earlier bump may have damaged/the worse for wear the handbrake pad (car forward ahil stationary). Could we claim the £100 back as part of the first insurance claim?
Not if the first claim was settled. If you settled, the amount you received was a full and sure settlement for all damage caused to your car, and should have been used to complete all repairs.

How Do I Make An Car Insurance Claim For Scratches Through Car Owners? |
May 23, 2009 by Patti | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I bought a reach-me-down car a few months ago that had a near flawless finish. Over the past few months it's been scratched several times by my nephew on his bike. We've talked and now I deprivation to file a claim with my insurance. The marks are everywhere, back of the trunk, right rear quarter panel, hood, radical rear quarter panel.

if your nephew's parents won't pay to have the car re painted, call your
ins. co. and describe them your car was vandalized, you don't have to say by who. they will take your claim and you will have to pay whatever your
deductible is. how did the hood get scratched? did he throw the bike up on the hood?

How Long Does One Have To Make A Car Insurance Claim In Alberta? |
Nov 23, 2007 by Made In Alberta | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Does anyone be aware, or can anyone tell me where to find info on how long one has to make a car insurance claim?
i've been in the government of AB website and the Alberta Insurance At all events board but i can't seem to find the info.
Alberta is in Canada
If I am not completely wrong, it is 2 years, the same as Manitoba, but the problem with waiting is accounting for any damage that occurs after the prime accident, not to mention remembering correct dates and details if the claim did not involve a supervise report, such as a hail claim.

How Do I Get The Most Money Back From A Car Insurance Claim? |
Apr 01, 2008 by mr_p.williams | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I was recently breed-ended in my car. There were no injuries to either party, just a little paint chipped, my bumper pushed in reduce, and my trunk lid sprung. How should i go about geting appraisals performed? Should i get my appraisals from higher end viscosity shops to ensure a larger check? this is my first insurance claim and i have no idea how this stuff works!! Please facilitate!
first of all, it doesn't amount who's fault it is you should still try to get the most from your claim. so you should research ( what your doing now) inspect (even a non mechanical mind can notice silver) if you see something that doesent look right, it's not right! and most importantly remember after it's all said and done you will still be communistic with a previously wrecked car which is more likly to have issues down the road therefore it is your right to come out onwards on your claim....now how i approach this is i tell my body man that i want only factory parts on this car because that what it came out with, then i give someone a piece of one's mind them i do not want damaged parts such as sheet metal (repaired) but removed and replaced. that will run up the work out real fast especially if it requires welding in a new trunk panel. the insurance players will send out an adjuster to make their crappy lowball estimate . next step is the talk...you have the ball in your court on this one, you tell the insurance company you wont accept their offer and that they beggary to provide you with a rental car as yours is inoperable (which by law they have to pay for) then you drive their car and play the waiting game, most insurance have to pay out within no more than 30 days, after you get paid you can have your car obstinate with the cheaper parts, and take the leftover cash and go on vacation to forget about this stressful incident.

Why Is My Car Insurance Claim Taking Soooo Long? |
Feb 14, 2008 by clb3718 | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Hi all
My car was stolen on 9th December and I still am waiting for a conclusiveness. My car has not been found and my insurers are requesting for a police report which will take up to 40 working days.
Does car insurance claims all things considered take this long???
Thanks
In theory the insurance establishment wait a while so that the vehicle has a chance to be recovered.
If you are concerned about the length of the claim then you should contact the insurance South African private limited company and point out their obligations to customers - especially under the FSA rules ICOBS 8.1: http://fsahandbook.info/FSA/html/handboo k/ICOBS/8/1

Will Any Benevolent Solicitor/lawyer Take On My Car Insurance Claim And Defeat A Mighty Car Insurance Co? |
Aug 26, 2007 by crazeetaxi | Posted in Law & Ethics
I was 100% honest in a car accident.
My insurance is 3rd party only so I have had to make a claim myself against the other drivers insurance co.
They have denied my claim saying the damage doesn'y fit how I described the fluke. Basically the damage does fit the description because that is what happened!
How can little me fight the well-built power/legal dept of one of the UK's biggest car insurance companies?
I can't of course.
But I want to win because I neediness my money back for the damaged (and now useless) car and for the principle of the thing and because I am sick to death of being trodden on my elephantine corporations, just because they can do it to us.
It wouldn't be cost effective to hire a solicitor to forbear out as I'm only looking for something in the region of £400 to £600 damages.
Has anybody got a few spare minutes to take my occasion on and put one over a megalith company?
I require you well cos the bums will try their best to not pay you

Car Insurance Claim Failed. I Am Totally Innocent And Will Not Give Up. Where Do I Stand With This? |
Aug 26, 2007 by crazeetaxi | Posted in Insurance & Registration
The mistake happened on a roundabout I was already on, someone pulled out on me and I T-boned the side of their car.
An 'independent' assessor has looked at my car and wrote a injure report which went to the other drivers insurance company (who I am personally claiming from as my insurance is 3rd party hiding-place only).
Their company have now wrote to me saying they are denying my claim because:
They can't understand why the whole front of the car is damaged (erm..because I T-boned the other car!)
They can't perceive why the nearside wing is damaged (erm..because she kept driving for a few seconds, which tried to creep my car to one side. The chassis went out of line and it moved the wing out of position).
They can't understand how the nearside door is damaged (erm..it isn't!).
Is there much else I can do other than make out to argue their statement?
A solicitor or small-claims court would not be cost functioning as I'm only claiming approx £400.
What can I do?
I would kindliness that your insurance company and her's would fight it, not them send you the letter.

How Do I Report Someone For A False Car Insurance Claim? |
Dec 15, 2007 by Ashley S | Posted in Insurance & Registration
i separate somebody has been accused of vandalising a vehicle this person has been arrested but we also no the car owner has claimed off there car insurance about thirty miles away! (on there own effects)as there insurance wouldnt cover them from the scene where the car was supposedly vandalised is this insurance fraud?
If unfactual statements were made to get money from insurace, then yes it is insurance fraud.
My friend tried to report insurance humbug (health insurance) to his company. You would think his report was welcomed. But instead he was given the run-around. He gave up.
So upstanding expect some resistance.
Good Luck.

Can I Get Cash Instead Of Repairs For My Car Insurance Claim? |
Jun 14, 2008 by Tracy r | Posted in Insurance
The invoice to the car is from hail and I have already received an appraisal but I would like to know if I can get a check from my insurance company as opposed to of getting the repairs done. Basically, do I have to spend the money on repairs or can I keep it?
I went to the ambitiousness through claim office and they cut me a check then and there... The dont give you as much as they would give the body shop-for the very reason of what you are fatiguing to do... :) They gave me the check and said if the body shop I chose had more damage they would give any additional flush to the shop. Just remember if they pay you now and you dont get it fixed they wont pay out for another hail claim. They will have a yen for proof that you fixed the first one...
