I recently got into a car accident a few months ago and i currently have a "advocate" that isnt doing anything for me. I would Love to fire him but i dont want to do it till i find a new one that can epitomize me... any references please, even if its a friend of a friend who knows somebody... Any intelligence would be helpful.. thanks!

I settled threw a car accident attorney and my elimination was $4,500, of which I am recieving $1,500. On the " list of fee's " there are 3 fee's which say ROA cost, I would like 2 understand what those are.. Thank you!!

my helpmate was in a car accident in which the other party was at fault. their insurance is covering everything- body shop, medical bills, etc. do i call for to go out and get an attorney if i want something extra for her pain and suffering?
since the other assembly has accepted fault and agreed to pay for the car damages and medical bills, they will most likely forth her an settlement for her pain/suffering.
everyone thinks that lawyers will get you more money, but many times they dont. i have made offers that they rejected and got an barrister and when i calculated the 1/3 less that the lawyer got, guess what the client ends up with less money; when they get that sign in i always hope that they remember they would have had more if they just took my offer.
if you have not received yet, you most likely will get swamped with phone calls and letters from attorneys heartening to make you rich. ignore them. the only time you might want to consider if you think they are not treating you positively.
also with an attorney everything comes to a crawl. so say you are ready to settle next week, but with a lawyer, most likely wont fall pay for 3 to 6 more months. the reason is that so many times adjusters and lawyers play voice correspondence back and forth. the lawyer may call once a month for an update and then forget until you call them back for a status.
if in doubt, i insinuate you call your own insurance company and pose the question that the other at fault company is doing this and this. ask them if you entertain the idea all is reasonable. if they say yes, do it on your own.
also might ask your own insurance if in your state you are allowed pain/suffering; some states have statutes that you may not be appropriate.
one other thing; if eligible for pain/suffering where you live, the 1st offer is not the only offer. you can always table for more. there is always a range that they can offer;
ie; their value is 1k; so 1st offer maybe $500; so if you counter say $5k, they wont square since they do not believe the injury is worth more than 1k; but say you counter $750, most likely they will agree since in the spread they believe they owe.

I deem if you haven't paid the lawyer anything, you can "cancel". If you have paid, he can keep anything you might have assumption him.

To Sue Or Not To Sue; Car Accident Attorney Question? |

OK, grill. Let's say someone was involved in a car accident, the other driver was intoxicated and 100% at fault. The negligent driver died, the not-at-exceedingly driver suffered injuries and a totalled vehicle.
Now, the negligent driver's indemnity company accepts responsibility for the accident and offers to not only pay on the vehicle, but to pay the entire loan off (did not have GAP warranty). A month goes by, no payoff is sent.
The not-at-fault driver has an attorney, by the way.
So now, here's the dispute. At this point, would filing suit slow the entire process down? The insurance following has stated in writing that they will pay off the vehicle. But how long will this take? Seems to be a really slow adjuster or something.
With the proof, there's no way this will go to court. Witnesses, drunk driver, injured victim, etc. No way. But will filing suit speed things up or slow things down?
If the not-at-overly driver has an attorney, the decision to file suit would be between attorney and client. In my opinion, a suit would slow-moving things down. Quicker to call the adjuster's supervisor and nicely ask for an explanation of the delay.

My mate rear-ended a car with minor damage to its rear. My wife saw the paramedics and waved them down to remedy the person she hit but that person refused medical treatment. My wife just received a literally from her insurance co. that that person has retained an attorney. Should we be worried for lawsuits or does my our car insurance take car of this?
Same fetich happend to me. Tell your insurance company about this ASAP. Their lawyers will contact the fire part to get testimony from the people who were in the ambulance.
People who try to scam and collect insurance readies cost all of us with higher premiums....fight them all of the way and make sure they do not get a cent for injuries they do not have.
