the attorney says i should get some clarify of settlement but he does not know what it will be. my attorney hurt his knee and he has to have surgery and he called and ask me if he could give my turn out that in the event of to another attorney do you think I am getting the run around?
He is in all likelihood going to get a referral fee for passing the case. I would consider switching attorneys. I'm not stable if you are getting the run around but if he is telling you he wants to take a pass on the case, run and run quickly.

semi truck driver is at vice. i have had two reconstruction surgeries on both of my shoulders due to this accident. pain daily, messed up neck and back arms will never be the same due to reconstruction surgeries. despair for the rest of my life i will never be able to use my arms the same ever again. my attorney says about 4 or 500,000 but i feel that it is low a angel claim adjsuter qouted a higher amount please help. Should i change attorneys?
If you abide that its necassary yes...but are you still going to be able to work and bring in your own income? These semi truck drivers continue insurance and yes some of them carry million dollar insurance but not all of them go after the company he is driving for dont go after him..he possibly feels guilty about it every day of his life. I am very sorry for your pain.

I have an auto accident occasion which the logging truck driver jacknifed his truck and hit me head on. I sustained serious injuries, and am suing. Nobody saw the accident, it was far out. I was flown out by medivac. The cover company representing the logging company hired their "experts" who came back and demand I veered in to his lane and hit him, therefore my injuries are "my fault."
What happens if after reviewing the unimpaired case the judge accepts the defense request for dismissal. Will I have to pay the thousands the defense spout up to that point???
No, you are not answerable for the defense's expenses/fees unless the insurance defense attorney filed an tender of judgment. You could be responsible for some of the fees and costs from the date the offer of judgment was filed until the subject is resolved/dismissed. Ask your attorney.

I was at a near stop when I was rear ended by a speeding car full of carousal teenagers (going 80 in a 35). Both her car and my truck were beyond totaled, but luckily only one of my passengers and me were injured. My voyager has already settled with the insurance company, but I'm getting a bum deal. The Texas Marvellous Court is being asked to overturn a multi million-dollar verdict against a weighty company because jurors were improperly told that the gravel truck driver who killed four people members is an illegal immigrant.
Revealing the driver’s immigration status at trawl was intended to inflame jurors with prejudicial and irrelevant information, according to attorneys for the Dallas hold hauling company (TXI Transportation Co. v. Hughes). In 2002 the illegal immigrant, driving one of the house’s trucks, drifted into the opposite lane of a Ft. Worth highway and struck a sports utility conduit occupied by five family members returning from Christmas shopping.
The family’s conduit scraped along the truck’s side until it emerged spinning and skidding into the path of a full-size pickup, according to talk reports. A one-year-old strapped to a car seat was the lone survivor. Family attorneys said the immigration low-down was presented in court to illustrate that the driver—previously deported and using a doctor Social Security—did not have the commercial driver’s license required to operate the truck and that the callers did not properly investigate his driving record.
A state appellate court upheld the jury verdict, including the naming of the driver as an illegal immigrant, and now the Texas Supreme Court will rule on the casket. During oral arguments at least one Supreme Court Justice revealed that the driver’s licit status should not have been mentioned at trial.
Sarcastically claiming that “the so-called interdicted immigrant is the cause of all of society’s problems” Justice David Medina believes the jury was cultivated of the driver’s immigration status to let it know that “we have an illegal alien over here who may have caused this unspeakable, horrendous accident and we want you to punish him and disregard the facts.”
For the family to keep its $15.8 million endowment, the majority of the Supreme Court's nine justices must find that the driver’s illegal status was in factors relevant and not simply an appeal to racial prejudice.

I dont even know how much my case is merit yet either. My repairs were over 2,500.00 and im still seeing a chiropractor for my curved back and neck......mitigate?

My daughter was in a car accident in which the other driver tagged her and caused her truck to echo over three times. My daughter was not taken to hospital but pretty much spent the summer at the chiropractor and masseuse. The other driver's bond company has offered us only $600 over the cost of our medical bills.
Does anybody recall a good, reputable attorney who I could call? This person would need to be willing to work on a share of the payout. Please do not proffer those guys who advertise on TV.

I do not positive this guy personally, but I have known about him for a long time. I saw him win several cases against the government agency that I in use accustomed to to work for. He used to be on Channel 4 as the guest attorney where people would call in and ask all kinds of questions. I always watched him as I always erudite a lot by listening to him explain the laws.
If I needed an attorney, Steven DeWolfe is the guy I would call.
Don't think you will find a control superiors lawyer than him.

I was hit culmination on in my fuel truck by a logging truck that lost
control going around the corner (way too fast)
My attorney sent a spell out to their insurance stating that I have a claim for severe injuries. The highway patrol despatch found the logging truck driver responsible for "unknown driver distraction", and "driving broken equipment".
The insurance company representing the logging truck company came back and said they are denying the require. They said the following: "We retained experts concerning accident reconstruction and metallurgical inquiry, and we respectfully deny and all all liability on behalf of our client."
Is this normal, wont stuff. Or has my case gotten signficantly harder to prove that the logging truck caused the accident. I requirement your professional opinions before I ask my attorney.

I suggest that it is more difficult for them to get away with it when it is on a public highway and there is a boys in blue report and the injured party (you) has a good attorney or insurance company to fight for your rights and protections. That's a lot of "ifs." The logging band is gambling that maybe
* it was not a public highway
* they can fight what's in the police report
* your assertion is not as good as their lawyers
* you will agree to a settlment that is a fraction of what they owe you, instead of fighting for the full amount
* you will not take this state to the news media to drage their reputation in the mud, and help locate other victims to draw nigh forwards to sue jointly

New South Wales control are still trying to formally identify four people killed in a crash on the Hume Highway close by Yass yesterday. Witnesses to the accident say a car crossed the median strip to the wrong side of the means and crashed head-on into a truck just before 11:00am AEDT. The four men in the car - who are believed to be in their 20s - were killed instantly. The truck driver has been treated for discompose and minor injuries. The highway reopened last night after being closed for most of the day. Police are investigating whether charge was a factor in the accident. They have confirmed the car was registered in New South Wales. The accident brings the NSW road chime to 409 for the year - 93 more than the entire total for 2008. Inspector Hamish East says with the Christmas pep up approaching, motorists need to take extra care on the roads. "This is a tragedy and it highlights the extremity to drive safely and to drive within our road rules and the conditions that exist at the continuously," he said.
