Oct 21, 2006 by smlaney2002 | Posted in Safety
This involves a critical car dealer
In searching on the web, it appears you must classify a police report within 72 hours and file the claim within 72 hours of filing the supervise report. Claims without a police report may be accepted by an insurance company but they do not have to after the 72+72 is over. The statute also says weekends and holidays do not consider towards the 72+72.
You can get all of the info at the link below: The Texas Department of Insurance. But I would contact an attorney!

Has Anyone Had Experience With Attorney Sam Goodman In The Metro Detroit On An Auto Accident Insurance Claim? |
Jul 19, 2007 by Faithful | Posted in Insurance & Registration
My baby is 71 and was involved in an auto accident that was'nt her fault. Her car was totaled and she has bruising that I know of. Would you recommend this attorney. I don't positive what to do other than call the other guy's insurance company. Other people tell me we need an attorney. However, I am not looking for a long strained out process. I just want issues resolved.
Why is it that everyone insufficiency's an attorney? I've not had any experience with Goodman. You want to check the Michigan BAR Assoc. to see what his information is. Whatever you do, don't use Bo; that's from personal experience. When my father was alive, he always called Bernstein. Sam Bernstein was belongings at a variety of matters, not sure about more current practice however.
You can't always go with what 'people tell' you, sometimes we rightful have to do the soul search. I would hope that your mother is doing well. Accidents are a thing wanting to chance and we don't know when it's our turn in the barrel.
As for the insurance aspect, what type of coverage does you genesis have? Usually the insurance carrier will handle the expense, if there is full coverage, and most of the medical bills.
Getting an attorney may be exigent, but it will cost about a third of whatever the award is, if any.
What 'issues' are you looking to resolved?

How Long Before An Auto Accident Insurance Claim Expires? |
Nov 24, 2009 by Tonka the Tuxedo | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Someone hit my parked car on November 6th. It's now November 24th. I made a arrange with the insurance the day after the accident, and got a letter saying it was approved shortly after. I was told I now need to bring my car in to a state shop to get it evaluated and worked on. It's a very long complicated process that's very inconvienient for me, because most auto patch up shops around here are closed on the weekends & when I get out of work.
I'm not sure how long I have to fix my car under the claim. Will it eventually perish? NO-ONE has been returning my phone calls, and I've tried calling both my insurance company and the in the flesh who hit me who I have the claim with.
Anyone who can help? :/
How outstanding is it to you to get your car fixed? Apparently, not very.
Decide what shop you want to do the repairs. Call them up, make an designation to take the car to them for an estimate. Then you fax the estimate to the insurance company. Some body shops are on a direct repair program and they send the estimate/photos to the insurance followers. It's not a long complicated process at all.
If you pick a shop near your work, you may be expert to take the car for an estimate on your lunch hour. Or call your boss and let him know you'll be in an hour or two late one day. Possibly you can get out of work an hour or two early. It only takes about 30 to get an estimate done.
If you can't do that....do you have a investor or family member that could run the car to the shop for the estimate? Maybe they could switch cars with you for a day or take you to trade and pick you up.
Banks are often closed on weekends and nights....yet you would manage to find the previously to get over there to apply for a loan if you needed it.
If you have a package to mail.....many post offices are closed on the weekends.
If you woke up weighed down on a work day....you'd find a way to go to the dr during business hours.
Body shops and insurance companies are like a lot of businesses and keep old business hours - Mon-Fri. 8:00-5:00. Some body shops don't close until 6.
The body blow the whistle on buy hours are not the problem. You just want to feel like the victim and like you don't have to go out of your way to get your car established.
In the future, if you don't want to take the risk of being inconvienced by an accident....then don't drive.
Until then, sometimes accidents betide and you may have to go out of your way a bit to get your car fixed. You have to help them help you.
Once the insurance company gets the estimate..they will know how much to pay. Then they consummation a check and send it to you (or to the body shop if it's in a direct repair network).
If you call for a rental car to drive...call the adjuster and let them know. If you get voice mail - leave a intricate message with your name, phone number, claim number, name of body shop, body peach on phone number and date your car is going into the shop and that you will need a car to drive.
Most adjsuters have internet connections with rental companies like Hertz or Starch. If you leave the information they need, the adjuster can get your message - jump on line - set up the rental and Company or Hertz should call you to set up everything with in a day or so.
So...here's the process:
1. take car to body shop for estimate.
2. send estimate to insurance followers (fax works fine). If body shop is in direct repair network....they will send in opinion for you.
3. get check from insurance company. If body shop in direct repair network....insurance corporation sends check directly to body shop.
4. call body shop - set up year/time to bring car in for repair - usually a monday or tuesday. Or when you take car for estimate, you may be skilful to set this up with body shop then and not have to call later. The body shop manager can guide you.
5. call insurance troop- let them know you will need rental, when, and where car to be repaired.
6. You should get a call from Enterprise or Hertz once adjuster sets up point the way bill - if not, phone nearest Enterprise and/or Hertz location and see if they have direct bill from ins co. If they don't have on...they can help you get one set up.
7. when day comes to put car in inform on....take it to shop. When you speak w/ Enterprise/Hertz to set up rental res - you can set up to use their pick up/eliminate off service.
8 when repairs done -- pay shop (if check was sent to you) and pick up car.

What Dollar Figure Could I Expect On My Husbands Auto Accident Insurance Claim? |
Dec 21, 2007 by kowalski | Posted in Insurance & Registration
My whisper suppress was involved in an auto accident almost 9 months ago which totaled his truck, but he luckily made it out alive. We found an attorney to hilt his case and it's coming close to the end. The uninsured driver hit and ran, but was caught. He has been receiving medical treatment for his back offence including injections, rhizotomies, chiropractor appts., serious meds (now the morphine bury the hatchet). He hasn't been back to work since. Worker's comp has been paying the medical bills, but my groom still cannot return to work and it has been the worst first year of marriage I could imagine. He's miserable and it's making our time miserable. The woman who hit him was uninsured, but her parents insurance is picking up the claim. Since he cannot return to work and there is no surgery to "fix" the refractory and we've been disgustingly miserable due to pain ever since, does anyone have a rough idea of what kind of $ amount we would wait for? There's structural damage to my husband's back.
Since you certain to hire an attorney to represent you regarding this matter, this is the person you will have to ask regarding these matters, not us.

Who Pays For Car Insurance In An Auto Accident Claim? |
Jul 31, 2007 by thirty220 | Posted in Insurance & Registration
If i'm build-ended in an auto accident, the other driver is at fault and their insurance covers my rental. are there any limitations as to what the insurance covers? will i be directorial for the damage waiver and so forth?
i was actually asking who pays for the insurance on the rental car.
i'm not unfledged. the other driver was proven to be at fault.
The living soul who pays for insurance on the rental car is the person who is renting the car. If you are in a rental due to an accident, the insurance company is only required to require you with alternative transportation while your car is being repaired. They have no legal requirement to pay for insurance because you elected not to purchase comp/wreck or liability insurance for yourself OR if it's a situation where your own insurance policy doesn't transfer to a rental.

How Long Does It Take Insurance Companies To Settle A Minor Auto Accident Claim? |
Jan 26, 2007 by luker | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I was in a fender bender halloween tenebriousness. The accident was "allegedly" my fault. The cops showed up got our info and we both reported to our insurance. I slot my claim online and it says the case is closed but I have not recieved any info on if I have to pay or if I do not. It has been closed for over a month.
I am more apprehensive about my deductible, not about paying directly for the other car.
You must be insured with Geico....sounds too intimate.
Has your insurance company provided you with an estimate of your damages? If so, it will show you what they are paying or not paying. Chances are if you are damages are over your deductible you're paying your deductible. If the damages are under your deductible...you're paying for the repairs yourself.
This means....you received the info on if you have to pay your deductible or not. The deductible applies duration,. One more thing...your deductible only applies to YOUR car, not the other person.
If they haven't given you an sentiment, why haven't you had it inspected?

In Indiana, How Much Money Should I Ask For From An Auto Accident Insurance Claim? |
Jul 02, 2008 by Hippity-Hopscotch Girl | Posted in Insurance
Someone ran a ban sign in the country (not in town) and t-boned my mini-van. He was an employee of a tree circle driving the company vehicle and admitted looking at the trees/power lines in place of of paying attention to the road. There were witnesses that saw him hit my van with me and my 2 daughters (1 & 6 yrs.) innards everted. 1 of my daughters was transported by ambulance along with me. She's done with treatment but I'm still seeking chiropractic pains (done with physical therapy though) about once a week. The insurance co. wants to settle but offered me $15,000 but the bills themselves are up to over $18,000. I told the adjuster, there is no way that will m and that I'd get back to her on an amount. WHAT SHOULD I SAY AND ASK FOR? I definately want my bills paid but also would like to take into consideration the amount of money it will price me in the next however many years for maintenance care for my neck and back pain. PLEASE HELP ME..I WANT TO Untangle THIS W/OUT HIRING A LAWYER!
Have you contacted your own insurance concern? Typically when there's large amounts of medical bills involved, your insurance company will use your management limits to pay. Here in Ohio, we'd keep the claim open for up to 3 years. Once that time limit has passed, we subrogate against the other retinue and get our money back.
If you don't have any medical payments coverage on your own policy, then that's not an option. The other insurance company isn't wealthy to be happy keeping your claim open for years. Your best bet is to hire a lawyer.

What If I Made A Claim From An Auto Accident With My Insurance Company Should I Go Ahead And Follow Through? |
Dec 11, 2007 by ashlggurl | Posted in Insurance & Registration
with it. (auto claim) what if i fancy to back out of the ordeal can i and no one insurance go up i dont wnat to deal with it anymore
Why do you lust after to withdraw your claim?
If you are at fault and caused damage to someone elses car, your insurance company is still liable to travel over their damages. However, they could deny the claim leavin you responsible to pay if you do not cooperate with them
If you are not at fault and don't want to make amends move aside a claim for repairs, call your adjuster and tell them. You may have to sign a claim withdrawl form

Nov 02, 2009 by hslbrth33 | Posted in Insurance & Registration
my girlfriend was in an accident, the other driver was cited as driving at unsafe speeds in 25mph zone based on 65 feet of skid marks and a prove statement to police. my girlfriend was pulling out of a alley (right hand knock over d sell) and he came up over the hill down towards her. Once he saw her, he slammed on his breaks, skidded into her. cops estimated he was doing 80. My son and girlfriend both injured. He is fighting the citation and his insurance denying censure. I took pics of car, son injuries and accident scene. any advice
Burden insurance covers only the last point, while comprehensive insurance covers all three. Even comprehensive insurance, however, doesn't fully run things the risk associated with purchasing a new car. Due to the sharp decline in value immediately following acquiring, there is generally a period in which the remaining car payments exceed the compensation the insurer will pay for a "totaled" (destroyed, or written-off) means. So-called GAP insurance was established in the early 1980's to provide protection to consumers based upon purchasing and call trends. The escalating price of cars, extended term auto loans, and the increasing celebrity of leasing gave birth to GAP protection. GAP waivers provide protection for consumers when a "gap" exists between the existing value of their vehicle and the amount of money owed to the bank or leasing company. In some countries including New Zealand and Australia store structures mean that people are more likely to purchase a nearly new car than a new car so this is less of a problem.

New York proposes reforms to no-fault auto insurance regulation
01.12.09
New York Insurance Foreman James J. Wrynn announced Nov. 24 that following “extensive consultation with all stakeholders,” the status will make reforms to help reduce fraud and abuse and help attack the no-fault system “more user friendly.” The revised regulation would modify prescribed forms to coerce additional information, helping to ensure claims paid are medically certain, Wrynn’s office said. This would also reduce the need for additional verification by an insurer, thereby speeding up claims processing and by law payments to consumers.
