Do You Know How To Claim Work Done/money Received When Filing A Claim For California Unemployment Insurance?

I got laid off 3 weeks ago and filed a claim for UI. I've tried for three days to call the 800 hundred and I've read through the EDD web site material. I've just received my final paychecks and will meet an unused vacation payout this week or next. Even though I haven't worked at all during the time I'm claiming for, since I received my checks during a week of the but of my claim, should I just not file for UI until I've received all of my final paychecks? I will have a week where I did not receive any folding money, but I'm afraid their automated system will cancel my claim because money came in a couple of different weeks over the last 3 weeks.
Also, does anyone distinguish for sure if you work temporarily for three weeks and get dropped from UI, if there is any reason they won't open your claim again after that calling?
As I understand it, if you find temporary work and get cancelled from UI more than 3 months after your old job, your new UI payments will be based on the lodge when you were out of work, hence, dropping your payment drastically. Anyone know for sure? Is there any motivation or only penalties for seeking and securing part-convenience life work?

Unemployment Insurance Eligibility In California?

I'm losing my job on Friday. Basically, my boss doesn't credence in I'm going a good enough job and so I've been replaced. In handling the paperwork, I've been given the option to "surrender from my job" or "be dismissed from my job." Is there a difference in terms of my ability to register an unemployment insurance claim?? I'm in the state of California.
What are the advantages/disadvantages of claiming resignation or dismissal??

Answer: if you're 'let go' then you get unemployment, if you deviate from on your own accord, you don't... just a general rule...

a resignation looks more advisedly on your resume than being 'let go'... however, you just call it a 'lay off'

In California Should I Apply For Extended Unemployment Benefit Before Or After My Current Claim ?

since no one seems to be answering the EDD phone lines. i dearth to know when to apply for the extended unemployment insurance in California . after my current claim (which ends very soon) or before my claim ends. Please any Labourers!!!!

Answer: I am in that reported situation. I am temporarily laid off and I have one more week left of my regular unemployment so, last week I got a imagine to fill out for extended benefits. So yes, apply for the extended benefits. Don't delay because more and more people are getting laid off which means that they are very busy. It took me days to get in contact with a rep to answer a simple question.

How Do I Complete Section B Part Of CA Unemployment Insurance If I'm Looking For Contractor Clients, Not A Job?

I have applied for unemployment insurance because the start up that employed me ran out of bucks. My best bet right now based on my job skills is to look for work as an independent doctor in my field. I'm aggressively seeking paying clients but not applying for jobs in the accustomed sense. How do I legally complete the Sec. B "Work Search Record" apportionment of the California unemployment insurance claim form under these circumstances? I can't list the companies and individuals I'm courting as clients because I'm not a job applicant. (And it would right hinder, not help me if they were contacted by the EDD.) However, I'm legitimately looking for paid work but for self-pursuit, not W2 income.
The initial answers I got said "you can't" but according to Division 1300 of the California Unemployment Insurance Code it's not true. Here's a direct quote "access to a self-occupation program would be the best path for them to do so. Accordingly, it is the purpose of this article to authorize the payment of unemployment compensation benefits, and to yield appropriate training and support services, for eligible dislocated workers who thrust to become self-employed in their transition back
into the workforce." So if you are self-employed after losing your job, you are not disqualified. But I demand to figure out how to fill out the claim form in this case.

Answer: You can't. Once you evident to become self employed you are no longer unemployed and no longer entitled to unemployment insurance payments.

You hve hired yourself and you are no longer seeking occupation.

How Do I File A California Unemployment Insurance Extension?

I cant get through to anyone on the phone at EDD about my UI benefits and my benefits are game out. Do they automatically continue sending me benefits (claim forms) or do I fill out another claim form? What do I do?
My claim form says that I have enough benefits for one more week. Will there be another waiting term before i start receiving the extension benefits?

Answer: You will be skilled to get extended benefits through the federal governments emergency unemployment. You will have to wait until your get your final dash. Then( unless the EDD has sent you a letter stating that you are eligible for extended benefits), refile your claim only like you did the first time. You will be getting a letter stating your eligibility for the funds. There will be no appraise necessary like the first time since that established your eligibility and there will be no waiting period like the first but.
The reason I say to go ahead and refile after you get your last check ( unless you are contacted by EDD ) is because some people did not get the eligibility sic from EDD, even though they were eligible.

California Laws Re: Job Abandonment And Unemployment Insurance?

I have an hand who last contacted us on Monday morning to say he would be late. He never showed up and we have not heard from him yet, despite phone messages Nautical port at his house Tuesday and today. I know we can assume he has abandoned his job and terminate his pursuit, but will our unemployment insurance reserve account be hit when he files an unemployment insurance claim?

Answer: No, Imperative get lost that fool based on job abandonment. If an employee is fired or abandons his position you retain the right to deny him unemployment. He then needs to dispute in writing to the unemployment office as to why he abandoned his contention. He is given an oral interview later on. Then if he has legit reasons a date with a arbitrate is given. You sit in a room and hash it out. The judge ruling is final. If he wins you owe all back pay to the day of abandonment.

Unemployment Insurance In California?

I currently earn unemployment insurance. On the check stub it states that my claim expires on 07/2008, although the balance noted on there is less than what I customarily receive. I believe its because the 6 month period has ended. My questions is, can I reopen up the claim? Am I still unmarried to receive my unemployment insurance until my claim has expired which is 07/2008? I was told that you can claim unemployment insurance for a year, so I don't understand why I only received it for 6 months. I was with my one-time employer for 7 years, so it's not like I worked wherever for a short period of time. And I am actively seeking a job, although I have a few expectations so I haven't accepted any offers extra I'm a single mother and I have to work around my parent's schedule cause its way too expensive to up my daughter at a decent daycare that I can trust. Hopefully someone out there can help me with a few information.

Answer: Six months is the run-of-the-mill time for receiving unemployment benefits. Sometimes when the overall unemployment rate is very high, that time is extended, but most of the in good time always, including now, it's 6 months. If you had found a job during that time so your benefits stopped but then lost it, you would be able to reopen your indigenous claim and receive benefits until 07/2008 or until you received 26 weeks of benefits, whichever comes first.

Advantageous luck with finding a job soon.
