Car Insurance Claim Form Statements? |
Question by Henry & Carryn A | Posted in Jokes & Riddles
Faithful statements submitted to Insurance companies:
These are the answers to the bit: "Describe in your own words how the accident occured".
1/ The mistake was caused by me waving to the man I hit last week
2/ Coming home from work, I drove into the inappropriate driveway and collided with a tree I haven't got
3/ The pedestrian was all over the road; I had to swerve a figure of times before I hit him.
4/ I drove into a lamp-post which was obscured by human beings.
5/ I knocked over a man; He admitted it was his knock excessively as he'd been knocked over before.
6/ The pedestrian had no idea which way to run, so I ran over him
And my personal favourite:
" I first noticed the dumb-moving, sad-faced old gentleman as he bounced of the bonnet of my car !"
Cheers

Car Insurance Claims Form? |
Question by David | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Hi sligthly nonplussed I had an accident last week, rang them up that day to report it, and then the following day with the rest of the information as I hadn't got it all.
Now a week later they have sent me a claims form which confuses me as I expectation I had done that on the phone? Is there likly to be any sort of time constrant on handing this back? Plus is this natural for me to have to now fill out the claims form even though I gave them all the ifnormation on the phone last week?
Live in the UK.
| Answer: Depending on the insurer, it could just now be a "Statement of Fact" confirming the details provided over the phone. If however the form is to a T blank, I agree it is abit odd - usually, the teleprocessing of claims is the quickest way to get things poignant. |

Do I Have To Provide My Social Security Number On An Insurance Claim Form? |
Question by Droga A | Posted in Insurance
I was tangled in a car accident and it was the other guy's fault. Now his insurance company sent me a claim form and they want me to give them my Social. Do I HAVE to put it and what are the consequences if I don't encompass it?
Answer: a lot of times in catastrophe forms or in a phone interview regarding the accident details, the adjuster will ask for the collective. this is to verify who you are.
in some cases, some people refuse due to being afraid this info becomes public. insurance companies do not show personal info, due to privacy laws.
what we have done if person refuses is ask for the drivers permit number when they refuse. it serves the same purpose to verify the ID of a person claiming damages and/or injuries.
you can fitting put on the form, i will not give my social or just ignore the question. if the insurance company questions, they can call you and you can ask them for other info in lieu of the community. |

Car Insurance Claim For Theft - Possible? |
Question by kmamupi2004 | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Hi, my car was stolen and has been recovered. My 3rd Fete Fire & Theft insurance agree to deal with my claim, provided that I completed their forms and submit my driving commission for verification. However, i forgot to update my insurance policy about having 2 speeding tickets (6 points deducted, happened 1 year ago). Will they discard my claim for not informing them about the speeding tickets? What should i do? Would it be helpful to inform them now?
| Answer: kmamupi2004, For car insurance the easiest way to get a cheese-paring quote is do a auto policy comparison. Be sure to choose the same coverage amounts, you can get an error-free quote to compare against others. Use the same coverage area, car make and model, mileage and driving summary to make sure you get an apples to apples comparison. To get fast auto insurance quotes, go to http://www.simpleautoquotes.com/Auto-Ins urance.html and you can look like all the major auto insurance companies. |
