How Much Time Is Given For Car Insurance Company To Settle A Claim? |
May 19, 2007 by asad c | Posted in Insurance & Registration
my car was hit in parking lot and insurance is dragging its feet to probe. how much time is officially allowed for this investigation and what are my rights bacause it has been 30 days today. i have a full insurance on this car and insurance company is investigating as a faker claim!. insurance from metlife!
Claims being investigated for deception are under different guidelines than claims that are not being investigated for fraud. and when a claim has been brought into the SIU department that info isn't shared with the yourselves being investigated. But when they are brought into SIU, it's for a darn good reason, whether you're committing fraud or not. By law the insurance has to look into suspicious claims, whether or not it actually is.
As for what 'cece' recommends, contacting the state...you can do that, that's your choice. But once they are aware your claim is being investigated for fraud--you're done.

What Are The Financial Risks For Starting A Medical Insurance Claim Company? Is It A Good Idea? |
Aug 26, 2006 by guayacan | Posted in Small Business
Will doctors be interested to pay my company to get ready their insurance companiy bills, so they will get paid more quickly?
Are you an superior in medical claims processing?
You understand the process? Have the programs to do this? Know someone you can appoint that has this knowledge? You want to make collection calls? You want to negotiate with insurance companies? You are exceptionally detail oriented, keep extremely accurate records, and can find those records in a moments notice?
Yes, Doctors use that paradigm of service, and are happy to pay a percentage of the billings for that kind of service.
If you're in the USA, you'll have to abide by all the HIPAA Regulations.
I have a customer who has over 50 employees, that is in this business, and is very successful. But he is extremely knowledgeable, he has key employees who covenant all the ins and outs of the insurance claims processes, he has invested heavily in technology through the years.
It can be a spectacular business, but you need to have the ability to really take this over completely for the Doctor's. You will be their EXPERT.

Can Mortgage Company File An Insurance Claim On 3 Year Old Foreclosed Home That Was Included In Bankruptcy? |
Feb 14, 2008 by Missee | Posted in Insurance
I filed CH 7 Bankruptcy 3 years ago and the mortgage company foreclosed on the haecceity. MY insurance company just called and said the mortgage company called them and filed a claim on the house for roof spoil and if they paid it there is a $2000.00 deductible I will have to pay. Is this right? I have not lived in the home for 3 years!
I'm not an masterful in Bankruptcy and foreclosure procedures but this doesn't smell right. If the damage to the roof occurred during the period that your insurance was in force, why are they only now contacting you? To my knowledge, all HO insurance coverage is based on the date of the occurrence or destruction. That means that whichever insurance company was insuring the home at the time the loss occurred, is chargeable to handle and pay the claim. It is hard to believe that a loss over 3 years old would just now be discovered and filed.

If I Make A Claim Using My Company Car Insurance, Does That Affect My Personal Insurance Reputation? |
Feb 07, 2009 by Mr. E | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I recently got into a spoonful fender bender using my company car. The other driver wasn't present, so I left a note. He called, and I followed through by filing a claim with the insurance company. I'm troubled, though, that my personal insurance reputation/rating is going to be affected because of this claim with my company car. Any information you can provide would b considerate.
Got an expert response. Expert Response:
Thanks for the note. Many insurance companies have many guidlines and underwriting criteria. This claim should have been on your commercial carrier (through work) and not your personal auto insurance ways. Commercial claims are usually not carried over to your personal insurance policy. You will have to check with your reported carrier to see what their policy is.
I don't judge devise it would. the claim is NOT against your personal insurance so they don't even find out about it probably (how would they?). Now your company that insures the car they provide to you - their rates may go UP. That may not make your boss tickled pink!

You did not give enough report to answer. I assume that you have talked to an attorney about this suit. Ask him for the answer.

Can An Insurance Company Deny A Claim Because Of An Expired Inspection Sticker? |
Sep 29, 2009 by Kate | Posted in Insurance & Registration
My dad let me draw his car (which I am also insured on) to do a job hunt in another city. Someone backed into the car and didn't leave a note making me folder a claim with the insurance company. What I didn't realize was that while my dad was out of state working, the inspection sticker had expired. Now the car can't behind the times inspection until the hood gets fixed but if the insurance company denies the claim based on this, I'm stuck in this hamlet with a catch 22 situation.
Can anyone provide me with an answer?
One has nothing to do with the other, unless it is mentioned in the pact. So read the contract to see.

Insurance Claim For Flood Damage- Is The Company Allowed To Do This? |
Oct 16, 2007 by Pinklady | Posted in Insurance
I have placed a claim for the contents of my board due to flooding. The insurance company is wanting to pay us the vast majority of the claim in vouchers and set us up with their suppliers. We do not want to substitute some of the damaged stuff but are we still entitled to the cost of these items since we are fully insured for them?
They are entitled under the terms of their tactics.
Most Insurers cover on a new for old basis. That is, if an item has been damaged, they will replace with a new or equivalent jotting. They do not have to send you cash.

Do I Need To Claim Accident In Company Vehicle With My Insurance Company? |
Dec 13, 2007 by mouse | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I destitution to get new insurance but I was in an accident in a company vehicle. I got the ticket, but the company's insurance paid the claim. My personal insurance wasn't affected. Do I have to have an effect my insurance co about the accident? With my current insurance I did. But my premiums are outrageous!
I did, but this insurance co. wants to know what MY insurance paid. This was the company's insurance co.
although the company's insurance paid the claim, YOU had the chance and YOU got the ticket. therefore, YOUR insurance will go up as YOU now have points on your record for the ticket and accident. you do not need to make a CLAIM on your programme, but your record reflects these points for the next 3 yrs and it will affect your personal policy premium.

Is The Auto-insurance Claim Information Shared If I Switch The Insurance Company? |
Jun 19, 2008 by Sean P | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Hi!
I am with auto-insurance company X reason now and due to few number of insurance claims that I had made, my insurance is going up. I am wondering if I try to switch to some company Y, will X share my claims report with Y?
Thanks!
Most of the tempo, yes they will find those prior claims.
Many insurance companies participate in a national database that tracks claims. They will also check out you MVR records of any tickets or accidents. It is very difficult to slip one past an insurance company.
Fraudulently stating fewer claims than you really have is not a good idea. If you filed another claim and the prior ones were discovered, they could deny the new claim, back saturate you a higher rate, and/or cancel the policy on the spot.
Because your rate went up due to the claims, it's not a bad conviction to shop around, just make sure they are rating you with knowledge of those prior claims.

How Long Do I Have To File A Claim With My Auto Insurance Company? |
Aug 12, 2008 by GUS | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I backed into a tree in April and damaged the tag end of my car - about 3k worth of damage. I haven't filed a claim with my insurance company yet and my policy expires Aug 17th. I've already renewed the custom for another six months with the same company. Is there a time limit for filing claims?
For medico damage claims like this there usually isn't a set time limit for reporting. The action usually just states that a claim can be denied for late reporting, and just how late you have to be to be considered "current" is up to the insurance company's discretion. the fact that you renewed your policy probably won't really boost things, all that matters to the insurance company is whether the policy was in effect at the date and time of the claim, and what their definition of "fashionable reporting" is.
