Can Anyone Claim Employment Insurance Benefits After Being Fired? |
Sep 09, 2008 by Ria S | Posted in Law & Ethics
I ignoble if on your Record of Employment (ROE) the Code is M, then can you file a claim for Employment Insurance (EI) benefits to Serive Canada?
You can if you were fired and the pretext wasnt your own misconduct....here is the info from Service Canada:
Actions, omissions or faults judged as misconduct
Different reasons may prompt an employer to fire an employee due to misconduct. The following actions or omissions are considered to be the most usual situations of misconduct:
* Absence without notification
* Absence without justification
* Absence without Leave
* Tardiness
* Insubordination—refusal, disobedience
* Refusal to perform certain duties
* Turn-down to carry out an order or instruction
* Refusal to work overtime
* Hostile manners
* Disrespectful conduct
* Acts of violence
* Breach of rules
* Dress and aspect
* Unlawful union activities
* Safety rules
* Consumption of alcoholic beverages or drugs
* Dereliction of allegiance
* Criminal offences
We can conclude that there is no misconduct when the reason for the dismissal is due to incompetence, faulty performance, inaptitude to perform certain duties or inexperience, unless these actions, omissions or faults are done willfully or are the conclusion of unwillingness.
****
Don't assume when "M" is on your ROE that they will only believe your employer....they will take both sides of the attention before making a decision.

Can An Uneployment Payment Protection Insurance Claim Be Accepted If Employment? |
Jul 15, 2009 by Matt | Posted in Insurance
Can an uneployment payment protoection insurance claim be accepted if the yourself was sacked?
Long story short, My brother worked for a security stubborn, Manager of that store didnt get on with anyone, he put a complaint in against her and she rang the security firm and told them to intimate him not to come back, this happend about 3 weeks ago, after taking a loan with abbey.
Should that be alright?
Betray him to claim unemployment...Its going to start an investigation and if she did it with no just cause....she will be the one out of a job.
Claim what is due to you. If he worked for the retinue for over 3 months...he can claim.
Tell him to fight it don't let this person do this to you she is miss using her position in the cast.
Now if he is working at another company he can get paid for those weeks he wasn't working due to being laid off. The unemployment guests is going to ask why he was let go and just tell the truth.
Claim and see where it takes you...the company is going to try to oppugn you but don't give up.
Good luck

Why Does My Auto Insurance Want My Employment Info For An Auto Insurance Claim That Was Not My Fault? |
Jul 26, 2009 by Shasta | Posted in Insurance & Registration
They also lack me to sign a medical release form. Are they trying to skip out the payment. Also it got turned in on my medical when i did not give the convalescent home my info? should i contact a lawyer? My bill is 8,000 and they auto insurance of the one who hit wants to settle for half. what should I do?
By medical deliver - do you mean a medical authorization? If so, they use that to order copies of your medical bills and reports. They can't square an injury claim with out copies of the medical bills/reports.
If you missed work because of your abuse - they need your employment info.
If you have PIP coverage, Medical Payments coverage or if the at fault mortal physically does not have high enough limits and you have to file under your policies Under-insured motorist coverage - your attendance would need this information.
If you are filing a claim against the other car's liability coverage - that company needs this bumf.

Insurance Adjuster Questions Auto Claim Releasing Medical Employment Records? |
Jun 03, 2007 by Jimmy Craig | Posted in Insurance & Registration
We were hit by a bender driver insured by State Farm. We had medical treatment for about 3 weeks totalling about $5000 each. Now we are demanding to settle with the adjuster who is less then ethical in my opinion. He did all sorts of "say one thing do another" category of things so far.
He phoned me last week to tell me he was going to send a form requesting our medical records for the medical centre visit only as he has all the records for the followup care. Keep in mind,jst the hospital.
What a I received in the dispatch was a form to allow this adjuster all of our entire medical history AND our entire employment telling! Since we are self employeed, there was no loss of employeed work time, but my business dealiongs were placed on set back. I was in the process of remodeling my home for sale and this had to be put off for a month due to injuries.
I am not comfortable with this slippery adjuster having access to all this information he does not need. Why are they asking for it?
This is criterion procedure -- release of medical records will speed up your settlement. ALL companies do this and the sooner you commit oneself to to work WITH the insurance adjuster the sooner you will get this behind you -- unless, of course, you have a prior medical contingency that you are trying to cover up.....

I Am A Teen Working Only During The Summer And A Portion Of Pay Is Going To Employment Insurance (EI)? |
Aug 03, 2009 by Blaine D | Posted in Insurance
I am a teen and currently have a summer job. On my pay remnant it there are deductions for Employment Insurance (EI) which i could never be able to claim because to claim you must work a consecutive 13 weeks which i will only work 10. Can i claim this simoleons back if i file a tax return??
No you can not get this back, this is to pinch pay for the EI program everyone pays but not everyone will use it. This is just how our taxes work, we pay for healthcare but may never use it.
The hours you get over the summer can make in handy, if you need a cliam in the next two years, you can reach back to the hours you made this summer. So yes they do figure out towards an EI claim but only if you need it, if you leave a fulltime job. We all have to pay into the program.

On Employment Insurance And Claiming Income From Employment...? |
Feb 13, 2007 by ○ | Posted in Canada
Will the gains earned be deducted from my EI payment dollar for dollar like social assitance (advantage) or is it a percentage? Like if i made $100 would $100 come off my payment?
Allowable earnings
If you are receiving pleasant, parental or compassionate care benefits, you can earn 25% of your weekly fringe benefits or 50$, whichever is higher, without changing the amount of EI benefits you will receive for that week. Any monies earned above that amount will be deducted dollar for dollar from your benefits. You must, however, always state all your earnings.

Does Employment Insurance Cover The Cost For Your Ged In Ontario? |
Jul 23, 2009 by Laura F | Posted in Other - Education
I call for to get my ged and I am currently waiting to be approved for EI. I was wondering if anyone knows if my claim gets approved will they offset the cost to get my GED and prep courses?
No they will not guard the cost of a GED Part time on your own, they will pay you to go to class full time at ALC to get your GED. They will also pay you to Start your own business. They will also pay for College once you are done your GED. EI has so many extreme programs that only a 10th of the people on it apply for. so get them to extend your benefits for ALC.

Indiana Employment Insurance Checks? |
Jan 30, 2009 by MrsB | Posted in Insurance
I was wondering why the glory of Indiana is not paying employment insurance checks to new claims? At my job we been cut back to 3 days a week. Hundreds of us signed up to get our waiting duration over. To date we all have our waiting period in plus several days, but the Work Force is not paying none of us!
Is the currency not there to pay out? Are they so over burdened with claims they are back logged?
We are falling behind on bills, where is the money?
I differentiate someone close to me who has had his work hours cut and been putting in his claim for over a month now and still no checks.
He is worried his transaction will be repoed because he has been unable to pay in for several months and now he has been cut from his job permanently.
Don't have a answer for you, but wish you the very best.
