How Reliable Is Erie Insurance? How Hard Is It To File A Claim And Get The Payment? |
I was reasonable of getting Erie insurance but it is so cheap it sounds to good to be true. I have heard that they have really friendly rates but when you get in a crash that it is near impossible to get them to follow through and a complete hassle. Is this steady? should I go with them and risk it? do they do that with the claims?
| Answer: I had Erie coverage for exactly 15 years, during that time I had maybe 3 or 4 claims in with them. They weren't the cheapest for me however claims were intelligible. I filed the claims by phone. Each time I got 2 or 3 independent estimates for repairs on my own for my mechanism, faxed it to Erie and they just sent a check to do the repairs each time. No hassle at all. Another without surcease my car was hit by a lady with another insurance company who denied responsibility. Erie handled all the mediation for this case until I was paid for damages 10 months later by her attendance. |
