What Can I Do About Getting An Insurance Fire Claim?

As a matter of fact, it's not me, but a friend who has a business near me. A few months ago there was a fire at his business, total loss. Now he's prospering bankrupt and is fighting to get his insurance fire claim. What can he do to get help?!

This is a oppressive issue. Getting an insurance fire claim can take a long time because insurance companies are loath to part with their money, predominantly if it's a big claim. Get a good lawyer, check your State Bar or look online.

Public Adjusters: How Do They Make Their Fee On Fire Insurance Claim?

Shouldn't the homeowner's insurance pay you _ONLY_ the bring in of repair? If so, how can someone make a 10% commission? Does the insurance pay additional fees if there is a admitted adjuster - specifically for the adjuster (versus appraising damage at higher place)?

Mrs Average adjusters get their fee by overwriting the estimate both in scope and unit prices and under delivering on adjust. The Insurance company owes for the damages only. Not the fees assessed by the P.A.(Public Adjuster)
Now, the truth of the situation is when a P.A. is involved in a claim, the insurance company is invariably going to pay more than if the P.A. was not involved but this is not to pay the 10% fee assessed and this is not to say that the At ease owner is going to reap the benefit of the additional money paid by the insurance firm.
The P.A. represents you against the Insurance company. The operative term being "against". You don't long for to be in an adversarial position against your insurer. When there is a P.A. involved the insurance company invokes formal claim handling and is less trust in to give "you" the benefit of doubt. The insurance adjuster is barred from discussing any outlook of the claim directly with you so if you have questions and your P.A. is non-responsive or you feel that the P.A. is not looking after your best interests then you're S.O.L.
The only service perquisites of a P.A. is if the customer is foreign and the P.A. is fluent in the customer's language or if the customer does not catch on to concepts well and the P.A. is there to reinforce what the insurance company says.

In A Home Fire Insurance Claim, Can I Find My Own People To Do The Repairs?

Do I have the retaliate for to use anybody I want, like family and friends, to repair my house, or is it demanded to get a contractor to do all the work? I don't know if it depends on where I live, but I reside in Texas.

The insurer will often vouch for a few contractors that have good reputations, and that give the insurer a better rate. These companies often give super service because they want the business the insurance company refers. At least that's the hope.

That said, you can use any contractor you yearn to use. But if you have a mortgage and if the repairs are over a certain dollar amount the mortgage company may insist on a licensed contractor to do the trade. The check will also be made payable to you and the mortgage company so they can ensure you actually repair the damages.

Accounting For Fire Insurance Claim.............?

A pvt. ltd. convention in India has its office in Mumbai. This office gets damaged by fire. The doors, windows, filing cabinets, flooring, air conditioners, computers and sundry office equipments and records are damaged. In the books of the co. , the above items destroyed do not perform anywhere in the books and even if they appear they appear in negligible written down value.
The loss is however estimated at Rs. 2,50,000/-.
How should the body pass entry for the above loss in its books and how should the co. proceed to claim the amount of fire insurance. There is a fire insurance policy for office premises of Rs. 5 lakh.
Please proposal the guidance and also explain how will accounting treatment be given for : 1) loss due to fire 2) insurance claim when received.

Thanks!!!

The denial due to fire would be credit assets destroyed (B/s account) and debit fire loss (p & l account). Only the words value can be written off. Unless there was a revaluation of assets before the fire being Dr asset cr revaluation restriction (doubtful).

The insurance claim would be Dr Bank Cr Insurance recovery (p & l account)

Examination Under Oath For A Fire Insurance Claim?

Cuttingly owners fire insurance claim, I had a house fire almost 60 days ago and the last that i had hear was that the investigations unit was by the skin of one's teeth about to wrap up the investigation they only had one more electrical report to come back, now i have received a letter from and american blood represented attorney saying they would like me to give an examination under oath, my question is this average for a fire insurance claim? and should i bring a lawyer so my interests are taken care of during the EUO as well?
Yes i know i ask the question a few hours ago but i had some of the facts in the cast doubt wrong and i wanted to fix them, thank you for answeing again though

Yes it's conformist especially if it was a total fire.

Your insurance policy gives the insurance company the right to request an EUO. If you do not give it, coverage can be voided.

The cast is exercising one of their rights under the policy.
