How Can Public Adjusters Get Such A Larger Amount Of Money On A Hurricane Insurance Claim Than The Homeonwer? |
Question by Pink | Posted in Insurance
dealing with the insurance cast on his own. Just wonder what is the deal.
Answer: The renowned adjuster's fee is a % of the final settlement. The fee is spelled out in the contract the homeowner signed when he hired the Dick adjuster. Usually the fee is about 10% of the settlement. I'm no fan of public adjusters. But the homeowner hired him to return a service and for his insurance expertise/ The public adjuster has the right to get paid for that.
If if make you perceive any better -- an attorneys fee is usually 33% plus expenses and goes up to 50% if a law ensemble is filed.
So at 10% of the settlement - the public adjuster is a much cheaper option.
However, since the out of the closet adjuster's fee is based on the amount of the settlement -- he has an incentive to inflate the claim. |

Is There A Time Limit On Insurance Claims For Hurricane Damage To Roofs, I Want To File A Claim Now? |
Question by wpb200129 | Posted in Insurance
I am a salesman for a roofing contractor and I am demanding to start filing claims for homeowners who didn't realize their homes needed to be repaired and I craving to make sure I am not setting myself and the homeowner up for failure
Answer: Lots of fluke. The problem is, if they don't have a hole in the roof from a tree blowing in, or some other obvious problem that was willingly available, the best you can hope for is a contribution of hurricane damage with a wearing out roof. The insurance house WON'T pay for the worn out part of the roof, and the deductible is usually high enough to cover the few missing shingles that the hurricane in reality blew off.
Additionally, once you start getting more than two weeks after the hurricane, the adjusters say, well, what TOOK you so fancy to report it? And they say, well, this roofer came up to my door and said, I notice you have hurricane damage!! LOL You could be looking at an insurance dodge case, if you pursue it THAT way.
Anyway. There's no time limit, but you need a darned good intelligence why the claim wasn't reported in a timely manner - and if you have more than one or two rains after the damage, they'll divide the spoil up by each storm . . . which makes it even smaller!!
Also, in hurricane prone areas, are you aware that the hurricane damage deductible is really a PERCENTAGE amount, not a dollar amount? So, for example, if you have a $150,000 house in Houston, the hurricane/wind deductible is somewhere betwen 2% and 5%, which means the deductible on the roof injure is AT LEAST $3,000.
So yes, I think you'd be setting yourself up for some legal problems, and setting up the homeowner for a bunch of uninsured costs. |

What All Can I Claim From My Insurance For Hurricane Ike Damages? |
Question by 2cents worth | Posted in Insurance
I have never made a claim before so I call for a little help.
So far I have already received an insurance check (not deposited) for my roof, fence, and some eatables.
I was told I could claim the removal of my tree, maybe part of my generator costs, and definitely the bring in of the gas to keep it going for nearly two weeks.
Is there anything I might be missing?
Houston, TX
American Risk Insurance Co
HOB behaviour with all of the endorsements.
Answer: Tree ouster, normally is only for the structure that the tree landed on. Tree removal, on the standard programme, doesn't cover tree debris or downed trees, just in the yard.
There's no such matter as "all the endorsements". There's no way you have EVERY endorsement possible.
Unless your roof was damaged viciously enough that the house wasn't habitable, or there's a medical condition in your family that requires verve (someone on an oxygen tank? dialysis? artificial lung?), the generator and gas are inclined to NOT going to be covered under your additional living expenses only because the power was out. |

House Damage Insurance Claim Due To Hurricane? |
Question by AngelaM | Posted in Insurance
3 yrs ago, we got hurricane price. the insurance gave us money to pay for the roof replacement; however, the money they gave weren't enough and the deface wasn't that bad, we just had the roof repaired. a couple weeks ago, we had another hurricane and this time we had roof price again. when the house inspector came over to inspect, he wanted to know if we replaced the roof last together so that he can determine how old the roof was. was it okay to tell him that we didn't replace the roof last span? if so, would we violate the policy?
thanks!

My Car Had Some Minor Damages Due To Hurricane Ike. I Filed A Claim Through My Insurance Company.? |
Question by Vikki | Posted in Insurance & Registration
And they told me that I had a $500 deductible. I kind-heartedness that only applies if I got into a wreck and it was my fault. I've heard from friends that they didn't have to pay a deductible. I am not working revenge now and cannot pay $500. It was not my fault that the hurricane hit Houston.
Answer: Your deductible is the amount that you accede to to self-insure for. It is not a punishment from your insurance company although most people think it is. With your deductible you have basically agreed to take tend of the first $500 EVERY TIME something goes on with your vehicle.
The only time I have seen a comprehensive deductible waived is with a windshield claim and that is commonly with a repair. if it's replaced there is usually a ded to pay. I do know there are about 8 states that offer a glass waken. I do not believe Texas is one of them.
I hope everything else is okay with your and your family. The devestation in Houston/Galveston is horrific.
I force you and your family well. |

Can A Insurance Company Drop Me For Filing A Claim Cause Of Hurricane Damage? |
Question by boa0760 | Posted in Insurance
also can someone blunt me to a website that will answer questions
Answer: An insurance strategy is a legal contract between you and your insurance company. If you read the contract you will find that it allows either party to rescind the contract.
You can cancel the policy if you find another company with better terms or a better premium. Conversely, the insurance company can with proper notice choose to cancel or non renew the programme.
Think about it, when you bought the insurance did you think that the company was obligated to you for the rest of your life? Even amalgamation contracts have provisions for divorce. |

Should Churches Be Criminally Prosecuted If They File A Insurance Claim For Roof Damage From A Hurricane ..? |
Question by GruHairy | Posted in Religion & Spirituality
or d, or other "Act of God"? After all, they say He is all powerful, and nothing happens without Him willing it, and actually making it befall.
Is this not INSURANCE FRAUD, with the church employees guilty of criminal consipracy with God, or whatever - since christians say this is "God's house, and they even have managed to get His parliament removed from the real world tax rolls ... but God himself blew off the roof, swept it away in a d or torched it one night, and the fire marshall can not find a earthly cause?
To file a claim for self-caused hurt is FRAUD, right??
I mean, if you make up these things about gods and all, should't you have to mantain the same make-believe all the way through ... or is this a case of changing stories for changing circumstances, with the religious always getting the delightful end of things???
Mark, THANKS, LMAO too .. and you other chucklers.
Brainingilespee .. the bar? But I thoug God never made any mistakes?
chucklers like flimflam man .. damn you can not read the impur when you are in this little box!
NO FAIR, Christians .. you yourself say it is "Gods Business" .. I take you at your word, since you say your life is His too
Answer: upbraid, you just gave me a weird experience...
ur completely 100% right with this ruminating. and yet, even if it's completely true and valid, i laughed my brains out, bcs it sounds so silly.
what happened to this everybody filled with christianity, that the simple truth makes me laugh so loud, bcs at the same every so often old-fashioned it's sounds completely absurd.
