Damaged My Glasses, purchased On Credit Card, under 12 Months Old, Home Insurance Said Claim From Credit Card.? |
Question by berlin9 | Posted in Insurance
commendation card company said claim from home insurance.Who do i go for. thank you.
| Answer: If your acknowledgement card company can cover it, claim from them first. It's unlikely the damage to your glasses is going to be above your deductible, and depending on the group of damaged it may be excluded entirely. Even if it is covered you would lose any claims free discounts. Solvency cards don't have these same penalties. |

What Is The "claim Rate" For Credit Card Insurance? |
Question by coocoojg | Posted in Credit
I recently activated my new trust card and, of course, the guy gave me the whole spiel about credit card insurance. He was quite pushy, actually. He was like "so I am gonna go in the lead and add that to your account..."
I declined and he axed hwhy. I explained that, over the last year, I have had a monthly authority of, let's say, about $2000 (actually prolly a lot less than that, but let's go with this for the sake of this example). So the credit card insurance which costs 89 cents on every $100 would set someone back me $17,80. It would pay 3% of my balance every month if I happened to be injured, get cancer (other than graze cancer) or lose my job, which is $60.
I figured that the risk of something like this happening to me is less than 1 in 20. I am 23. I have had a trust card since a few months after I turned 18 and there was only one time where I was laid off and could have actually maybe modified for an insurance payout if I had credit card insurance. So, 1 in 20 is actually a high-ball personality. But anyway, assuming I'm risk neutral that would put the value of the insurance at $60 * 1/20 = $3 per month or 15 cents out of every $100, hwhich is waaaaaaay less than 89 cents. (I am in point of fact kinda risk aversive hwhen it comes to these things but not THAT risk aversive!)
He said that he supposes what I was saying makes significance if my risk is indeed 1 in 20. So, I axed him if he actually knew the stats. He said he didn't but it seems a lot of ppl are filing claims for the job extinction protection because of the recession and all.
But, I am wondering does anybody know the actual stats? hWhat proportion of people with credit card insurance actually file claims? I think the word for this is "claim upbraid" but I'm not sure so correct me if I'm wrong. Was I right in figuring my risk is 5% or is it more, or less? hWhat are the tangible numbers? Does anybody know? Please provide sources!

Delayed Baggage Insurance Claim - Visa Gold Credit Card Holder? |
Question by sudhan13 | Posted in Insurance
In October 2006 I was migratory from Mumbai to Botswana. When I reached Gaborone (Botswana), my one of my checked-in baggage was not arrived. After 15 hours (next day) I received my bag. As I am holding HDFC Visa Gold Praise Card, I am entitled to claim for delayed baggage. When I reported this issue to the Customer Services of HDFC Tribute Card, they advised me to forward my claim to United India Insurance Co., in Chennai. I did forward all the necessary docs to them except stay of emergency purchases (I lost those invoices). The insurance company asked me to outfit with proof of emergency purchases. I sent my reply that i have lost the invoices and powerless to provide. After 3 months also i did not receive any response from United India Insurance. Am I entitled to get any compensation? For the compensation to whom I should near? Can I approach Consumer Court for their assistance?
Thank you,
Sudhan

Your proposition beyond the shadow of a doubt is so poorly worded and without punctuation it is nearly impossible to know what your question is. |

Can't Use My Canon Eos300d As I Have Bent A Pin In The Card Slot. Should I Claim This On House Insurance? |
Question by Stuart M | Posted in Cameras
Accidentally bent a pin in the card groove. Repair could cost £100+. Camera is about 3-4 years old.
Answer: 1) If you claim a mundane item like this, it can raise your insurance rates -- which will cost you a lot more in the long run. I've even heard of instances where auditorium insurance has been canceled for making too many small claims, and it can be expensive or difficult to get new insurance. Thus, I would not recommend it.
2) At your own gamble, you might be able to unbend the pin. What I know people have done is to use a credit card (you might have to trim it to get it into the CF compartment) to unbend the pin.
3) Otherwise, you'll by a hair's breadth have to pay. |

I had then hockey, baseball, and basketball cards damaged. how do i put a value on these. i know before long they are not worth much.
| Answer: I have a Great hockey card collection and tons of autographs dating back to 1981 and when I inquired about adding them onto my homeowner's insurance I was told not even to nag because I won't get anything for them. Unless you're talking about Grezty rookie cards or something and you have proof you had them and COAs, etc. |

How Can I File An Insurance Claim Without Provider Info Like Social And Date Of Birth? |
Question by sidney_1970 | Posted in Insurance
My ex peace was ordered to provide health insurance for our two small children. His new wife then added the kids onto their insurance protocol and sent me a card to use. The problem i have run into is that we can't file without her social and date of birth and work info as well. The ex will not talk to me and i can not get any superintendence agency to help either. Where do i need to turn? I guess i could go back to Dept. of Human Services and let someone know Medicaid that his insurance can't be processed and see what they do.
Answer: Well-founded because you don't have this info, doesn't mean the claim cannot be submitted. The card you got should have enough info on the subscriber for the provider to submit a claim. Any requests for additional info will go the subscriber.
Interrupt of that, send the bills to your ex with an explanation of what you need (certified). |
