Moped Insurance Claim Problem.. Please Read And Give Advice !!?

Hi, i had a 49cc baotian bt49 moped stolen from surface my home just before christmas. It was insured under third party fire and theft so as you do when you get something stolen you put in a claim which i did. The theif that nicked it was driving around my square on it and was seen several times but when i told the police they told me i wasnt able to kncok them off it ect because it would of landed me in a burden of trouble. Little did i no after 14 days of the bike being stolen from outside my well-versed in it got found by the police burnt out. Now after about 3 weeks of me filing the claim i got a letter of my insurers ( Rampdale/KGM ) saying that there will be no claim on this scene as it is my own fault due to lack of care and attention ( supposidly ) and that the bike was with a recovery New Zealand, clocking up charges of £ 10 storeage a day. Now previous to this worry about weather i would have to pay the storage require or not i got told by my insurance that all costs to the recovery company will be paid for by them ( my insurers ).

Anyway me thinking i was contemporary to be accepted for my claim i went and bought a new 49cc moped and was told that i could transfer my policy over onto this new moped that i had bought, but then they intensify the sound of round and said, " oh no sorry we cannot transfer this policy over onto your new bike because its in the centre of being in a claim ". So i had to then pay over £ 400 for a new policy ( and lost my no claims ) which ment it went up moderately a bit seen's as my first policy was only in the
£ 300 bracket. Then however after getting the new moped insured under the same insurers i got a character 3 months after the OLD moped was burnt out i received a letter on 11th feb 09 telling me that my ways on the old bike did not make a valid claim so therefore i my self owe them £ 200 in storage fees as they have paid the rescue company the money that was owed from them picking it up from the scene where it was burnt out from. But what i dont take is i was told that all the costs to the recovery/salvage company would be paid for under my insurance policy and that i did not have to be vexed and now all of a sudden im left with a £ 200 instant fine that i have to pay them back within 14 days? It sounds like ive been ripped off sinistral right and center with this insurance company so there are a few questions that i wanted to know if any one could help me with.

1.) Do i have to pay this £ 200 that they are asking for, for the salvage of the moped

2.) Even though i lost my no claims and the price went up on my new policy do i still loose it even though they havent paid out ?

3.) What would be the consquences if the £ 200 wasnt paid back to them?

4.) And what do i do about the way on my old bike? they are still taking money out of the bank for it do i cancel it or what?

Please help us on this one because like i said i don't no what they are playing at but surley this carnt all be make up for? ... I've been told ive got 14 days from the 11th feb to respond. Oh and i can apparanlty pay for the costs £ 15 a week? But should i have to do this??

Please ease,
Thanks....

Answer: Okay, I'm in the US, but most of this should be the same:

1) Theoretically you are obligated to pay the tow yard for the storage costs incurred. It's present to keep rising the longer it's there.

2) Not sure if I understand this one. You seem to be asking if your accident/claims representation will show "no claims". Over here, claims don't count until something is paid out.

3) If the tow yard isn't paid for the storage, they will clerk the moped, then bill you for the storage costs. They will send it out to a collection agency. Storage costs can commonly be negotiated. The tow yard would rather get something than nothing.

4) Cancel your old policy, have them pro-rate your premium back to the date that it was stolen. You should have a administer report to confirm the date that the moped was nicked. The insurance company should refund you any intact premium from this date forward.

Good luck.

How Much Time Do I Have To Still Be Able To Submit An Insurance Claim?

I fare in Toronto, Canada. I got rearended and reported the accident to the collision center (not to my insurance company) within 24 hours from the accessory. I haven't submitted a claim to my insurance yet because I'm currently in the process of contacting the person who hit me to give him a quote for the improvement on my bumper. I've called the person yesterday and got the voicemail. I called him again today and got the voicemail again. Both times I leftist detailed messages. I wanted to wait until Monday to give him a chance to call me back. But I was wondering how much ease do I have before I can't claim it to my insurance anymore? I've been told that as long as I already reported the accident, I have alot of time to claim it. But I after to confirm.

Answer: I've never seen a habit-forming and fast time limit written into any insurance policy. Normally, 99% of accidents are reported within the first week. If you go more than 2-3 weeks, you'll have a bracket gather of extra questions from your insurance company.

The longer you wait to report, the harder the insurance institution will investigate the claim for possible fraud on your part. Which means, of couse, the longer they'll take to pay out.

Can My Homeowners Insurance REQUIRE Receipts For Everything Taken During A Break-in?

I recently had my car debilitated into in front of my house, as did 7 other neighbors. We had several items taken: Zune, baseball tickets, passport, notecase, noise canceling earphones, sunglasses, prescription glasses, watch (I differentiate it was dumb to have that much stuff in the glove compartment and center console). Anyway, we filed a the heat report and then filed a insurance claim. I was told to send in a list of items that were lost, approx. how old the items are, and what the expense to replace the item will be. Well, I just received a letter stating I need to take precautions receipts for the items. I called the insurance office and said I don't have receipts for the Zune but I have a serial #, I don't have a voucher for my passport (I can show pictures of Europe and can provide the stolen passport #), I don't have anything for the tumult canceling earphones because they were a Christmas gift, but I can provide info for the watch, glasses, sunglasses. I was told that I demand to call my in-laws to ask them for a receipt for the headphones, which I did and they don't have anything (it has been 9 months). I was told I need to upon out something else to provide proof that I had a passport. Is this legit? What can I do? It seems like they are making me out to be the criminal. I have had the same insurance players for my cars and homeowners since 1996 and have not made any claims on either policy! The insurance company sure has no problems collecting my premiums but when something happens they certain don't want to have to pay.

Answer: First off, it seems like you are very upset about this ordeal. I would wait a few days, gather all receipts/documentation I had and then get in tap with your adjuster. Being polite to your adjuster (kiss his/her butt) is the best thing you can do. After all, they are making the decisions.
If you do not get a straightforward settlement, then I would escalate this to their boss. Keep going up the ladder until they make you go away (i.e. pay you what they owe you). It does not seem like you had anything out of the unremarkable in your vehicle, so be patient and persistent. You can only give them what documentation you have.
Good luck!

Should I Claim An Accident To My Insurance Company??

About a month ago, some undirected lady backed up into my car door. (She totally recognizes that it was her fault). The damages amounted to $2,000. We agreed to keep insurance companies out. By law however, i was obligated to dispatch it to the Collision center, because the damages exceeded $1,000. So that's what I did. The police phoned her a few days later, and told her to write-up it as well. She was worried that her insurance company would get a claim, so she phoned them and asked if they will be notified about a claim because of that report. She said she spoke to someone and they told her that a systematize from the collision center is sent to the insurance company but is not usually opened unless a claim is made. She then dropped off a Certified Cheque to my car dealership and told me to get it rooted anyways. So i Did. HOORAY!! my car is fixed!! 3 weeks later i bumped into her on the passage, and she told me that her insurance went up, because a claim went through from the collision center (apparently her insurance company made a deal with the wreck center that any at fault accidents reported are sent as a claim) and now she wants me to claim it so she can be reimbursed.....should i even attention?? i got what i wanted out of this situation. my cars fixed!! In my mind this situation was over a while ago. If she has any problems with her rates I have in mind she should take it up with her insurance company. what do you think??

Answer: As wish as you filed a police report and filed out the documents that the state requires, you are not obligated to communicate your auto carrier. Her car insurance likely found out through the police report or by MVA check as she was likely cited for the fluke. In my opinion, you have no moral or legal responsiblity to comply with her demands. Since the accident was the other parties immoderately, she can report it to her auto carrier and they will likley contact you for a statement; however, you are not required to purvey anything to them.

FYI for everyone out there, if you are in an accident and it is your fault let your insurance handle the claim. No insurance policy has a deductible for PD(property damage caused to others) only a deductible to fix your car.

As A Personal Trainer Trained In Specialized Methods, How Do I Become Able Work With Medical Insurance Claims?

As a deprecating trainer, I don't have the ability to bill insurance companies for the specialized type of training I offer. I have been rational about taking this method to Spinal Specialists and Physical Therapy centers. Preceding to approaching Doctors and Physical Therapy centers, I would like to know what typewrite of Billing Code they could use, so they can receive compensation for my efforts, hence making it more attractive for them to encompass the work I do. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Answer: There's a adjustment between "personal trainer" and physical therapist. Body structure is not professional healthcare.
