How Do I Claim Compensation From My Insurance Company? |
Aug 30, 2007 by micky&lou j | Posted in Insurance
It has infatuated my insurance company over 15 weeks to put right my living room after it was damaged by lightning. All because they had appointed erosion adjusters who took their time giving the go ahead to the builders. Is there any sort of compensation I can claim for? Remarkably seeing as I have a 4 year old son and they still hvent replaced my fireplace.
I was originally told it would take 2 to 4 weeks.
Your first in the matter of of call is to put in a letter of complaint against the insurance company outlining your experiences. Your policy/ IDD must have details of how to kick included.
They have to acknowledge the letter in 7 days and either give a holding reply or a final retort 28 days later.
If they give a holding reply then they must make a final rise within 28 days after that.
In the final letter they can either deny the claim, admit it in part or fully take it. If the latter two then they may make you an offer of compensation.
If you do not agree to their response you can take matters to the Financial Ombudsman Advantage (details MUST be provided in the final letter you receive). This costs you nothing but it costs the insurance house about £350.00. They must agree to the FOS decision but you need not.

Do I Qualify For Compensation Claim In My Car Insurance If It Was My Fault? |
Jun 24, 2009 by El Mexicano | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I had an non-essential on June 10 tha was totally my fault. My insurance said that will cover the value of my car additional up to 2,500.00 in medical bills and or wages lost due to the accident unabling me to employment.
Can I still claim compensation due to the pain and discomfort I been through? My insurance is Farmers.
You cant enter a claim against your own insurance company for pain and suffering. This would come in the form of a lawsuit. You cant sue your own insurance company for hurt and suffering when you caused the accident. You would be suing yourself.

How Do I Claim Compensation From My Insurance For My Lost Bluetooth?Eligible To Claim, just Need Some Tips!? |
Nov 25, 2006 by ArtCafe | Posted in Insurance
That is, I am scared they might reject it if I don't claim in a proper way. Accessories are included in my insurance. Do you have any tips for me on what to tell them, so as to get my money? As a result of you!
In your insurance custom there are sections ' what is covered' and a further section 'what is not covered'
when you word how you lost the device you necessity to say 'I was using it and a youth ran past and knocked it from my hand and it fell into the canal'
but not ' i left-wing it on the bar in the pub and when i went back it was not there.
One condition is due diligence, on all insurenca policies.
This means that you must act at all times as though you were not insured. (dont take jeopardy just cos you know it is covered)

The Insurance Company Wants To Settle My Workers Compensation Claim In Montana. What Do I Do? |
Aug 04, 2007 by gerald k | Posted in Insurance
I strike down from a roof and shaddered my right heel bone in about 50 places when i landed on my feet. I had surgery 10 days later and they put my in straitened circumstances back together with about 9 bolts/srews and a steel plate on 1/28/07. It took until now to be released to part stretch work. My doctor has my records marked as a possible permanent impairment. I recognize i can work for about 2 hours before it starts hurting and i'm walking with a good limp after about 4 hours. My doctor said this won't be wrapped up until febuary. The insurance presence wants to meet with me next week. I think they are wanting to offer me a settlement. It seems to be too promptly for this. As an Licensed Electrician i usually make around 50.000 per year or better. I'm apprehensive about whether i will be able to perform til i retire which is another 37 years or better before that happens. That's easy on the eyes much all the details. What kind of settlement should i consider if the insurance company tries to force my worker?
do what your legal practitioner tells you to do . I mean you basically have the next 37 yrs to think about and how will you support yourself ? I mean you in fact should listen to your lawyer and do what he tells you . good luck to you and I wish you well.

Should I Appeal A Denied Workers Compensation Claim Before Retaining A Lawyer Or Retain A Lawyer First? |
Oct 02, 2009 by James | Posted in Law & Ethics
I injured my back at profession (muscle strain). I have degenerative disk disease and the companies workman compensation insurance carrier is denying the claim because "there is no medical support your current condition is m related." The carrier informed me I can submit the matter to the Wisconsin Subdivision of Workforce Development for a hearing and an impartial decision.
Should I retain a lawyer before I go through the sue process? If I don't have a lawyer and I lose the appeal, can I still retain a lawyer and fight the settling?
At least consult a Queen's (this is free) before proceeding.

Norwich Union Have Lost My Car's Service History. Can I Claim Compensation And Who Should I Contact? |
Apr 09, 2007 by Baz B | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Norwich Club settled a motor insurance claim for me, but in the process lost my car's complete service history. After many call up calls over a period of months, and being constantly told the matter was being looked into, they inexorably admitted the loss, and also that the situation was unacceptable, being only able to supply me with photo-copies of the originals. Their claims be influenced suggested I should take the matter further, and said a member of their customer relations team would correspond with me. To date, nearly 2 months later, I have heard nothing from them. The service history was large, and related to an old vehicle with an exceptionally low mileage, so I consider it extremely important to the value of the instrument. Am I right to ask for compensation for the loss, and also written acknowledgement of their incompetence!
Insurance companies in the U.K. are regulated by the Economic Ombudsman Bureau.
Write a formal complaint about N.U. to the Bureau - they will act on your behalf.

Aug 10, 2009 by Billy | Posted in Insurance
Workers Comp will have forms you fill out through the companionship. they then investigate to determine if it is 'approved'. Health insurance receives a claim (and if it isn't indicated to be workers comp) they handle based on your benefits.
