How Do I File An Insurance Fraud Claim In Texas? |
Aug 30, 2006 by Steph W | Posted in Insurance
Attorneys progenitrix was in a nursing home for 8 years brain dead with Alzeimers. Also he had a mentally retarded fellow-citizen whom he took care of (State of Texas paid also) and he took out a policy. Amounts untold. If he took out "too much", is this insurance fraud?
It doesn't dependable like he's hastening their death and he may have insured them to recover costs for their care. Nursing take responsibility for is very expensive, even with state or Medicaid help. It is up to the insurance companies to decide if tactics limits are appropriate and they usually make that determination before issuing the policy.
Fraud would only be the instance if he LIED about something on the application, and I think that even there, there is a statutory time limit on how long the insurance society has to find out and void the policy.
As long as he didn't lie about the health of the insured, or his right to an insurable interest (his reason to be the owner of the policy), he hasn't committed fraud. As son and brother of the insured, he would have adequate insurable interest.

Ebay Item Insurance Claim Fraud? |
Dec 28, 2008 by Edgar S | Posted in Insurance
i sold an particular on ebay worth almost $300 that was reported damaged the buyer started by saying that it was my answerable for not package ing it correctly i insured it thru ups now he wants the insurance money ups picked up the item for inspection i ask him to send me some pics i saw them and could disclose it wasnt the same item i shipped what should i do if ups gives me the insurance money could i keep it and tell the seller that it wasnt the same memo that he switched it do i have to give it to him or can i tell ups the buyer is comiting fraud when i told him i was going to have ups ship it back to me so i can examine it he started acting more polite and saying it wasnt my fault that i packaged it to the nth degree well that it was ups's fault can someone help me with this problem
I would get something off one's chest him the item he sent pictures of is not the item you sent and that is fraud and you will report him to ups and to Ebay, and then do so if the particular is actually not what you sent. He may just back off as the other person noted. If you are certain it is not the item you sent you should let ups recognize if they are willing to pay the claim. You should not take the money for the item if it is not the item you sent, that is, as noted by others, fraud.

What If Someone Set Up A Break In At Their Home And Claimed Insurance Fraud But Noone Was Caught How Would? |
Mar 03, 2008 by straitdanger | Posted in Law & Ethics
how would oversee prove this was insurance fraud? i know somoene who constantly gets away with this i tried to send in an anonymous call to the watch department but they said there was nothing they could do without concrete evidence.....how the hell am i suposed to get material evidence on someone commiting insurance fraud?
This enquiry got me mad! I've seen people doing things very similar to this. In New Jersey we have people doing it all the things with car insurance. And they usually have the money to pay!
I use to have a night job that required me driving around at night and I would see Mercedes',Lexus' and BMW's all the every now parked in driveways in New Jersey for months with license plates from other states. They were committing insurance fraud while I'm working two jobs to pay for my bills including my New Jerey insurance like they should!!
Seems like the resources can't have enough!
So here's 2 sites for you and anyone else that knows someone doing this.
The first one is for New Jersey, the 2nd one is more along the lines of a general site that can get you more intelligence depending on where you live.

Do You Think If A Person Or Business Doesnt Pay An Insurance Claim That Is Rightfully Owed = Insurance Fraud? |
Feb 21, 2009 by PUBLICLY CORRUPT | Posted in Law & Ethics
There is a process. They arent universal to just cough up money because someone says they have a claim...even a valid one. If need be, it goes to court. If the court decides that they do not have to pay then the sacrificial lamb did not meet the burden of proof.
No fraud.

When drivers who hold on going 80mph on rain or ice and follow each other five feet apart finally crash, they rebuke it on the weather and we all pay with higher premiums.... shouldn't there be a separate classification for "Driving Ho-hum On Bad Roads"?
.....I always keep remoteness when driving, especially when in bad roads. I am also driving....Clever!! hehee

How Much Time Is Given For Car Insurance Company To Settle A Claim? |
May 19, 2007 by asad c | Posted in Insurance & Registration
my car was hit in parking lot and insurance is dragging its feet to inquire into. how much time is officially allowed for this investigation and what are my rights bacause it has been 30 days today. i have a full insurance on this car and insurance business is investigating as a fraud claim!. insurance from metlife!
Claims being investigated for fraud are under strange guidelines than claims that are not being investigated for fraud. and when a claim has been brought into the SIU department that info isn't shared with the being being investigated. But when they are brought into SIU, it's for a darn good reason, whether you're committing fraud or not. By law the insurance has to investigate in doubt claims, whether or not it actually is.
As for what 'cece' recommends, contacting the state...you can do that, that's your option. But once they are apprised your claim is being investigated for fraud--you're done.

My dishwasher went out, I called the profoundly protection insurance they sent a person out he said the washer was broken. Insurance party paid out $357. If I choose not to replace the washer is that fraud?
uh...in all probability. Most policies require you use the funds to repair or replace the damaged appliance. Anything else they will look upon fraud

mccain Called On His Dishonesty On Medicare “Cuts,” Goes Ballistic
01.12.09
Dick Durbin in reality dared to question the honor of St. John McCain on the Senate floor honourable now, leading to a volcanic explosion from the Arizona Senator. Durbin was discussing John McCain’s make reparation to commit the Senate health care bill back to the Finance Committee, to return with the elimination of all “Medicare cuts,” as he calls it. These cuts absolutely involve decreasing fraud, eliminating the total waste of subsidies to private insurance companies for Medicare Service better, which costs the government more money for the same care, and reducing payments for uncompensated worry (there will be les of it with more insured people). Durbin mentioned what top Democrats have mentioned all day , that McCain’s own custom in the 2008 campaign would have cut Medicare $1.3 trillion dollars over 10 years, three times the amount of reductions in this bill.
