I Have An Open Insurance Claim At My Job, What To Expect From Adjuster? |
Apr 28, 2009 by anthony M | Posted in Insurance
My daughter found a hypodermic needle in a flat we were staying in at my workplace. My daughter was poked with this needle and it has caused nothing but heartache not knowledgeable if she has anything.
I have opened a claim with my jobs insurance and I wanted to know what to expect from the adjuster and how much should we negoitate for.
A claim for what? Heartache isn't covered by insurance. If it was, we'd all be millionaires.

Will I Get A New Paint Job For An Insurance Claim? |
Feb 07, 2008 by Lal | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I have 5 spots on my car that got hit that I can admit from an incident were my car got wedged. Basically I know for sure three wheel wells, the hood and front bumper were poorly scratched (to the body).
The body shop explained to me that the insurance company will only cover the areas hit. But basically almost every part of my car has scratches from the extra. Can they really do this? My car is going to look like a circus car with new paint on half the panels and old make-up on the others.
They will only color candidate and paint the areas that were damaged. What you might try is talking to the body shop about paying the adjustment of what the insurance is paying for the repair and a whole new paint job.

Can I Claim On Insurance After A Botch Job By My Uncle? |
Oct 24, 2006 by dizzy 'n' dopey | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
Having got my uncle to substitute my garage roof, I subsequently find the job has been done incorrectly and the roof is now leaking badly. Can i claim on my council insurance to get the job done properly?
Your insurance scheme will NOT cover this damage.
Regarding roofs, your policy will cover storm hurt, which this isn't, and it may cover accidental damage, if you've paid to include it, but even so, it will exclude faulty handiwork and normal wear and tear.
If you try to lie to the insurance company, you may find yourself without any insurance at all, so I wouldn't suggest that either. And believe me, they have ways of determination out.
So, you have two options. Call your Uncle and get him to fix it properly, or get in a professional contractor.

How Can I Speed Up Insurance Claim Processing? |
Jan 09, 2008 by mikeyb | Posted in Insurance
My kinsfolk and I are trying to find an appropriate residential treatment facility for my sister (who suffers from bipolar turmoil and substance abuse).
One of the facilities we spoke with accepts insurance but informed us that since this can be considered a "pre-existing demand" and her insurance is relatively new (her husband recently switched jobs), there's an extended waiting approach of possibly 6 months.
Is there anything we can do to speed up the claim processing? Insurance provider is bluecross of ca.
You should call the insurance assembly and confirm
And while you're at it, you'll want to specifically ask whether her policy covers residential treatment facilities. Most policies don't. (Every insurance companions may have a rare plan or two that covers it, if the employer chooses to add it to their contract. But its not typically a "measure" benefit.)
Doesn't matter if the residential treatment facility is happy to accept insurance, if your sister's policy specifically excludes coverage for it.
Good good break.

What Is The Best Way To File A AD&D Insurance Claim So It Is Not Denied? |
May 17, 2007 by purplebear | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I identify ins. co's automatically deny claims. That is their job and they hope you will give up. How can I force them to actually investigate my claim without my having to bound through hoops? And what can I do up front to get them to contact doctors and hosptials regarding the claim?
Sorry, I must explain.. I don't have an emissary. This is a policy which was attached to a bank account. No agent was involved. I have to do this myself and it is for Accidental Expiration and Dismemberment Insurance. I worked for an insurance company for 20 years. Insurance companies are scoundrels. I didn't occupation in claims so that is why I was looking for someone who might know something about how to handle claims. I appreciate your input. Thanks.
I am indubitably honest, all premiums are paid but I just really think the insurance company is current to try to balk at this claim. It is not small. That is why I think that. I am probably being overly concerned due to the fact that I have no legate to represent me and I am at the mercy of a large insurance company. But I don't think it will be a cake walk for me either. I moral don't think they will try too hard to pay a large claim. That's all. I am worried I will do the wrong thing or not do enough of the correct things and they are not obligated to get something off one's chest me what to do in order to be successful in filing the claim. I don't think they have to help me, do they? Is it their responsibilty to do that if they don't use agents to give away their product?
I've never had that prove before, but maybe if you had an insurance agent it wouldn't be so hard. My agent does all that stuff for me.
But for now, I don't identify how to help you. I would just consider finding an agent that will get you a good insurance claim and handle all of this for you.
Cut out: I'm sorry, I don't know what you can do about that, hope you find an answer.
Ok, so this is all just a fear you have really... Documentation your claim, if they deny you and you think that was unfair, hire a lawyer. If it is no small amount, and you have a good come what may, I can't see any reason you couldn't find a lawyer to help. But none of that is really important until you file the claim and see what happens. I would adopt that they have claims agents, that would be somewhat responsible for helping you file your claim correctly. But if you are that agitated about filing the claim on your own, hire a lawyer that deals with this stuff.

Can I Claim National Insurance Back After A Summer Job? |
Sep 07, 2009 by Portnoyisagod | Posted in United Kingdom
I worked over the summer and earned around £3000 and am now a full notwithstanding student. I'm below the Income Tax threshold (£6475) so I know I can claim that back. However I don't know if I can claim back National Insurance, as I'm above the £110 weekly earnings doorway.
Does anyone know if I can? It doesn't mention NI anywhere on the P50 or P45 forms which I'm using to claim Income tax back.
The why and wherefore it doesn't mention NIC on those forms is that it's non-refundable, and you can't claim it back.
Tax for a year is calculated on a cumulative point of departure. NIC is deducted according to each payday in isolation, irrespective of other earnings in the year. All you would ever be clever to claim back would be anything employer over-deducted. For example, if NI was deducted from someone of over 60. Over 60s don't have to pay NI. It is rare for an employer to remove an incorrect amount of NIC, or over-deduct.

I am a full but student and I am on my parents health insurance. I have my own job and when they claim me on their taxes it kills my tax return. They have Blue Crotchety and Blue Shield, so I'm not sure if its required by them but everyone that I have talked to that are on their parents health insurance are not claimed on their parents taxes. I was legitimate wondering if this was something that was necessary for the insurance company.
