Jul 07, 2008 by iowa2az | Posted in Insurance & Registration

iowa2az, It's terrible to hear about your situation. I was injured once in Illinois when a delivery truck backed over my Nautical port foot at work. My employer tried to settle with me fast because they knew it wasn't my mistake. I called a local accident lawyer in my area who provided me great advice and I was gifted to get a decent settlement to cover my medical bills that weren't covered by my get ready insurance. I'd suggest you find a lawyer in your area. http://www.accidentlawyerlocator.com My personal injury lawyer was help me because they expectation to make some money at the same time. Try visiting a accident lawyer to see if they can help.
Heop everything works out.

Will Any Benevolent Solicitor/lawyer Take On My Car Insurance Claim And Defeat A Mighty Car Insurance Co? |
Aug 26, 2007 by crazeetaxi | Posted in Law & Ethics
I was 100% above reproach in a car accident.
My insurance is 3rd party only so I have had to make a claim myself against the other drivers insurance co.
They have denied my claim saying the damage doesn'y fit how I described the catastrophe. Basically the damage does fit the description because that is what happened!
How can little me fight the husky power/legal dept of one of the UK's biggest car insurance companies?
I can't of course.
But I want to win because I destitution my money back for the damaged (and now useless) car and for the principle of the thing and because I am sick to death of being trodden on my gigantic corporations, just because they can do it to us.
It wouldn't be cost effective to hire a solicitor to hands out as I'm only looking for something in the region of £400 to £600 damages.
Has anybody got a few spare minutes to take my if it happens on and put one over a megalith company?
I craving you well cos the bums will try their best to not pay you

Insurance Claim - To Hire A Lawyer Or Not??? |
May 02, 2007 by GKGK | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Is it mainly a good idea to try to solve the calim yourself with the other insurance compnay and if a resolution can't be reached, then hire charge a lawyer?
Also, if I want to solve the claim on my own, I would have to hand over medical documents and such to the other insurance compnay. How might this compromise my chest?
I have full coverage throught AllState, but not medical coverage, and hence was told that they won't handle the medical part or the pang and suffering part of the claim.
If you do settle upon to hire an attorney, remember they will take anywhere from 25%-40% off the top of your settlement. It's highly likely they will not be capable to negotiate much farther off from what the insurance company offered you in the first place, and then your getting EVEN less money in your camp, when you did all the work and all the attorney did was get in at the end.
It is much better to just handle your claim directly with your claims adjuster, they will pay attention to to you and make you a fair offer - if they are a reputable company.
As for handing over medical documentation to the other insurance companionship - this is something you MUST do, otherwise how else would they be able to justify making you an offer to resolve your injury claim? As the injured reception - you MUST prove your case. If you retain an attorney, they eventually will have to get your medical records and submit them to the insurance drayman anyways. It will not compromise your case, unless you have something to hide.
As for your own carrier not being able to manipulate this. That is correct. You pursuing a bodily injury claim is between you and the at fault carrier. Your carrier has nothing to do with this. Even if you had medical coverage on your auto regulation, your carrier still can only pay the bills up to your limit, and tell you that you still HAVE to deal directly with the at fault bearer to pursue your injury claim. (And if you did have med pay coverage through allstate - they would tell you that whatever they paid out in med pay - if you recover from the at lay at someone's door carrier, they would want reimbursement).
Basically - what will happen is - you treat as you feel is life-and-death - thru discussion with your doctor. Once you are done treating the at fault carrier will secure RELEVANT medical records and bills and and any wage breakdown documentation you may have. They will take into consideration the severity of the loss, the injuries, the treatment, any permanency, and devise you an offer. They will reimburse you for reasonable and necessary medical treatment and compensate you for torment and suffering.

Contents Insurance Claim, Letter Writing Help? (lawyer's Wanted)? |
Oct 24, 2009 by surreallife | Posted in Insurance
In making an insurance claim for a weakened laptop , are there any specific words that i can use to emphasise that it is a legitimate and valid claim? My contents insurance New Zealand falsely believe that it isn't a valid claim so i need to prove it is to them in my letter. Thank you.
^ie. how can i corroborate it was accidently broken ?
If you changed your news they might become suspicious. Did you change it? Do you have an explanation why?
Ask for a technical report on why they are invalidating the claim. Then just keep insistent that the claim is dealt with as per their terms and conditions . Eventually they will give up.

In A Insurance Claim.can You Direct Your Lawyer & Ins. Company Not To Pay The Hospital Bill.paid To Me? |
Jul 06, 2009 by James | Posted in Law & Ethics
can i over and pay my hospital bill instead of ins.paying them out
of my claim am i in my right to direct my lawyer to have those funds paid to me and i extent with the hospital myself
If you are speaking of a claim against notable else's insurance (not your own) and you hired a lawyer to get your medical bills paid, and that settled or it went to court and you received well-to-do for your medical bills the , insurance company will pay your lawyer , he will distribute the funds. Ethically, he will have to pay the medical bills you sued /asked for.
As your claim / statutory action was based, in part, on the expenses you incurred.
If this not the sceanrio, then I would have to have clearer facts of the action.

I Need A Lawyer In Southern Nevada That Handles Medical Insurance Claim Issues? |
Aug 06, 2007 by bajamoons4me | Posted in Insurance
I HAD AN Harm OCCUR ON 12/17/06 WHERE AS I INJURED MY LOWER BACK. I HAVE TWO BULGING DISCS, ONE IS CRACKED AS WELL. I WAS ORDERED FOR SURGERY, AS I AM COVERED BY ANTHEM BC/BS. LESS THAN 48 HOURS BEFORE SCHEDULED SURGERY ANTHEM HAS PUT MY CLAIM ON Go on about. I NEED A LAWYER WHO HANDLES THESE TYPES OF CASES WHOM I CAN CONTACT. IT HAS BEEN 7 MONTHS SINCE MY INJURY HAPPENED AND STILL I HAVE YET TO BE Charmed CARE OF.
Go to your yellow pages. ANY lawyer should be talented to help you . . . for a fee. They ARE going to want you to put down a hefty retainer up front.
You're not saying why the claim is on slow down, so I'm guessing they think it's work related or a pre-existing condition that you didn't report. Those would be two valid reasons for the health insurer to not pay. And a lawyer isn't going to help you "override" the reasons.
Having an wrong that needed surgery 7 months ago, that you haven't taken care of yet, ALSO indicates that perhaps the need isn't as great as you think it is (or else you would have the surgery, and worry about the payment later).

Should I Hire A Lawyer To Handle My Insurance Claim? |
Oct 10, 2006 by stephaniencurtis | Posted in Insurance
my sporting house burnt to the ground a week and a half ago, I was out of town and we lost everything we owned except some clothing. The fire marshal came out that evening and told me that it was suspicious but the cause would probably never be determined. When I went in to see the insurance company they treated me like some well-disposed of criminal, here I am having lost everything that I own. By the time I left I was just beside myself, they wanted to dig into every interpretation of my life, they wanted me to go to the gambling boat and get a print out of how much money I have spent there. And they straight kept saying, do you see why this doesn't look good for you!!! Can they make me do things like that? They twisted around everything I said, THEN to top it off, he said that it would take a while to subside my claim becuase it was suspicious, when asked how long, he said, " well it just depends on how much you cast in" Like if I don't turn in all my personal property they will pay the claim!!
The fire marshall has ruled me out barrel and the insurance company knows this, and the reason I am talking about a lawyer is to protect myself, not because they where "mean" to me. I rightful feel like they are on some kind of witch hunt so they don't have to play the claim. They act like it is lousy if I ask for anything, and I am just not sure of my rights, what I have to disclose to them (like the gambiling), I only spent $120 there, but it is objective the whole point that thye can demand things and I have to jump through hoops, as does my dearest as they have all been interigated too.
Rather than hiring a lawyer, who will proper take 40%, look at hiring a public adjuster, who will probably take 10-15%.
But yes, if the house burned to the argument, and the fire report says suspected arson, the insurance company WILL take a little time to sift through. Especially if they think they can pin something on you.
Now, gambling receipts, how is THAT related to the fire loss?? What they are Really trying to do, is get evidence to convict you. I don't see how it's relevant. Have them put their request in writing! You need to start dealing with them IN Script, and keep a paper trail.
As far as the "how much you turn in" portion of it, what bunk! You have a aggregate loss! The policy should be paying out, well, the limit for the building, and you need to list as much as you can as far as the contents go. Get friends and relatives who might have enchanted pictures, or video recordings, of the inside of the house, to substantiate what was there.
Meanwhile, if you have a standard homeowners design, you DO have "additional living expenses", and I would DEMAND an advance on that to pay for the hotel, etc, OR, let the insurance public limited company park a trailer on the lot for you to live in while they straighten this out.
Regardless, even if it IS arson, and even if YOU lit the fire (I'm not accusing you!!) the insurance friends STILL has to pay the mortgagee, if you have a mortgagee. So remind them of that, and get them to pay off the loan IMMEDIATELY. THat will keep you from having to make mortgage payments.
And again, a Mrs Average adjuster will be cheaper than an attorney, but your agent should be going to bat for you on this, also!! And he's ALREADY been paid to ease you!

Calif. insurers say $12 billion invested in Iran
02.12.09
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California's insurance commissioner said Tuesday he will incursion insurance companies doing business in California to divest up to $12 billion in meandering investments in Iran's defense, nuclear, energy and banking industries. Commissioner Steve Poizner said he will advise the companies to voluntarily sell the investments they reported to his office. If they refuse to supply within 120 days, he plans to try to force the divestment so money paid by California policyholders is not flowing to a U.S.-listed status sponsor of terrorism.
