Injured At Work Before Shift, Insurance Medical Claim Was Denied, Now Am Stuck With Bill. What To Do Now? |
Question by Taki X | Posted in Insurance
Even after the commotion, was told by my management that it would be in my best of interest to go to the E.R and miss work that it would be covered. Just got in the post that the claim was denied and I am responsible for the medical bills, which includes at least 4 x-rays. Should I charter a lawyer or what?
| Answer: You're not potent all the details - just a vague reference to being injured "before shift." Certainly, your employer or employer's WC insurer has determined that the injury is not work-related. |

Answer: Yes you do. You deprivation to file a formal appeal. Most of the time, as long as it's medically necessary, and would have been approved if you had made the call, they will turn over the denial.
You should call the number on the back of your card, and ask them for the full details on exactly what you need to send to apply the decision. |

Are Doctor Notes Considered Legal Documents In Relation To Insurance Claims? |
Question by cunuckeh | Posted in Law & Ethics
My kith and kin doctor had sent me to a specialist for pain management years ago and this specialist filled out the insurance forms for sustained term disability. When I applied for mortgage insurance, the insurance company wanted more information (spelled out information)about my medical history between certain dates. They sent a letter to my dearest doctor asking for this information. In his letter he stated that I did not seek medical treatments in regards to the insurance companies questions, but that he would send along with this thus, his notes from this time period. I was then denied insurance because of the information on his notes.
Answer: If it was the authority who filled out the disability forms, that is who should be answering the questions for you now. Seems to me your family doctor was principled answering truthfully--he is not the one certifying your disability.
Get your records from the specialist and try again. |

Where Can I Learn About People's Experiences? |
Question by youronmyfoot | Posted in Other - Australia
I am interested in the promise of living in Australia or America. I currently live in the U.K. I would like to learn about people's experiences of what they did to effect their dream?
Obstacles that they encountered and helpful advice.
I am 34 with a degree in Interactive Multimedia. Administrative/Management and Insurance Underwriting/Claims management skills. 7 Years experience working for a economic institution.
I want to live my dream.
Hope you can help. I will be eternally appreciative.
Answer: Precious friend,
With your work experience, Australia should be grateful to have you. I live in Canberra in the last 6 years and in sydney 14 years before that. I had to say Canberra is the wonderful diocese provided you have the right requirements for work. Sound unusual?
Well, my brother in law merely migrated here 6 weeks ago. He was a top Business Development Manager in his country Reunion, working for the top friends. So far, in Canberra, jobs are plentiful. The catch is for most of them, you have to be an australian citizen. You may have a better inadvertently b perhaps than my brother in law because you come from the commonwealth. He came from a French colony. He enrolled himself with distinct employment agents. There were plenty of jobs in his field, even jobs that had been advertised several times and they could not be filled, the agents refused to send him for interviews with forthcoming employers. Why? He did not fit the criteria. He's not local. So what else is there for new comers in this town. A town that continues screaming for skilled workers. It makes one question, isn't it?
My husband and I met in 2003 and he moved to Australia in late 2005, under the temporary spouse visa. He was a technician working in Noumea, New Caledonia for a assemblage similar to Telstra here in Australia for 12 years. Similar story, his on experience did not seem to be appreciated. He could not find work in his field in Canberra because he has not had permanent residency/ cititizenship. He is now completing his situate graduate diploma in Software Engineering, hoping it leads him to a better spectacle of employment.
Another matter of concern is the housing. There are not enough rental properties available. As a new comer with no city references, no job, you can find yourself forever filling out application forms after application forms for rental capital goods. You will not get any lease anywhere. That's what my brother in law and his young family are experiencing at the moment.
As an australian, I fervour my country. The nature, the environment, the people are lovely here. It is however daunting if you do not have place to living and a job to earn a living.
Sydney or Melbourne may give you a better chance. You should be looking at the selection of finding an Australian company that will sponsor your working visa. Once you establish here, you can focus for residency perhaps. Canberra is not a city for new comers from overseas, even they are skilled, unless the village goverment does something about it.
I hope I did not dampen your spirit. They are facts that you want to certain I guess. All the best in whatever path that you decide to take.

Insurance Claim - Water Leak From Upstairs Flat. |
Question by moiclare | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I had a leak in my bathroom from the upstairs effects - the property is run by a management company who take of things such as this and put it through their insurance company. This leak occurred about 5 months ago.
The being in charge of the management company has received the quotes and should now have sent them to the insurance company. Only problem is I can not get any dialogue from the management company as to where I stand at the moment and what progress has been made. I basically want to know if I am within my rights to get my ceiling sorted out myself and redeem from the management company or wait. (I have threatened this in a recent letter to the management company).
Any help would be serious.
Thanks
| Answer: go to your neighbourhood magistrates court,,,0930 ish,,,and see the magistrates clerk with a view to making a claim thru the stinting claims court(under £5,000)dont sort it yourself(watch them jump when they gain a summons)you could sort it yourself and then spend some years receiving recompense,,insurance like payments but not paying out,,,sentry them squirm and make sure you get inconvience money to compensate you for the hassle |

Can I File A Homeowner's Insurance Claim On This? |
Question by disappearing | Posted in Insurance
Hi. I stress help, and my insurance company just lets the phone ring...so does my condo management troop...so any help will be appreciated! My downstairs neighbor's ceiling under my toilet fell down a bit--the solder is exposed now. He says he doesn't have homeowner's insurance (even though he owns his condo). I called a plumber who said it wasn't my seal, but rather duct lower down at the "elbow" (whatever that means) and that it was cracked. He repaired it...for 630.00. Now, my neighbor wants me to pay to fix his ceiling too, return my condo association says that since the pipe was coming from my toilet, they are not responsible either. My homeowner's insurance people, when I called them before I knew what was fallacious, said if it has to do with the toilet it's a "maintenance" issue which is not covered. Is this sincere? Any part of this sound off to any of you experts? :) Thanks!
Answer: Your homeowners is only common to pay for damages to your neighbor that you are legally liable for. You're NOT going to be liable for his ceiling harm. He chose not to carry insurance for his unit - he is going to be SELF INSURED for this.
Regarding your hose - you have a deductible. The water damage to YOUR unit caused by the pipe would likely be covered by your means, subject to your deductible, but not the repair to the pipe itself. Really not worth filing a claim. It's Practical that your policy flat out excludes ensuing water damage. I'd pull a replica of your policy and read it, for future reference.
Master Policies generally only wrap COMMON AREAS and the outside structures, AND the deductibles on these policies are usually $10,000 per claim or more. You're NOT prevailing to get coverage for this under the master policy. |

Answer: Well if he took the pills without prompting, the reaction he suffered was 'self-inflicted.'
Perhaps you can ask your regular doctor to talk to the insurance firm about your stepson's condition and the medications he is on. If he or she can convince them that the condition or the medications have an adverse modify on impulse control they might reconsider. |

Claims Management, Inc., Bentonville, Ar? |
Question by marriae23 | Posted in Insurance
Has anyone had dealings with this fellowship? They are the insurance claims company for Wal-Mart, Inc..
| Answer: Several years back, not much though. I had a small-time cut from a buggy in Wal-Mart and was simply trying to notify the management before someone got hurt on the little snag of the run. I had a very small cut and once I told the management about the buggy they made a huge deal out of it, took pictures, cleaned it and applied a bandage. The concern which you refer to called me 4 times over the next three weeks making sure if I had to go to the doctors or had any problems with the harm. I never had any trouble with it but this is the only experience I have had with that company. |
