Insurance Claim Problem? |
Nov 04, 2009 by Layla | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I lack everyones help on this. I had switched my previous insurance and purchased an online Insurance policy (which I heavily deplore) on the 16th and was active on the 17th, there has been a hail storm in our area last month on the 16th and 17th of last month, luckily I wasnt in the locality that the hail storm happened on the 16th, however I was hit with it on the 17th, the problem comes to play when I called in for a claim everything went smoothly the adjuster reviewed the photos of the car when the insurance was purchased and the action terms and so he set up to have me meet with the appraiser the appraiser estimated the damages and faxed all info to the adjuster, once this happened i was proficient to receive check to go fix my vehicle now here is where the problem starts... I take my car to get fixed at the bodyshop and the bodyshop states that they desperate straits to have a supplement because what the insurance company offered me was not enough money, so basicly they fax the paperwork to the insurance and calls are made to the insurance and over a few days at long last the insurance company states their excuses stating that I never had full coverage insurance (which I do have and was verfied from my agent who sold it to me) and that they are impotent to approve the supplement, so it gets denied... now over the next few days i get word because the bodyshop calls the insurance plc and then the insurance company basicly states that they are still not going cover the supplement because the bodyshop added further stuff like replacement of the hood and new moldings which the insurance company stated that it was not needed... now over the periods of the next few days the histrionics even gets deeper, I contacted the insurance per the bodyshop request to see why they cannot give supplement to bodyshop, I was advised that the adjuster no longer works for the visitors and that my call had to be transferred to one of their managers, so once I get on the line I was told that basicly my policy has been cancelled out and that they seem that the claim put in was false because my car had previous hail damage according to what she said she reviewed the photos and said that the signal must have occured before my insurance was active which is completely wrong, I mean the city did not hail in every part of the conurbation on the 16th I was luckily not to be around a certain area but when the 17th rolled around I happened to get hit by a few (not too major), but point here is they said that the insurance claim for glorify damage was false and basicly they cancelled out my policy and reported it to the state of tx and right officials and they stated the check they sent out to me they had overlooked it and it even though it was a mistake, she said she could not put a prevent payment on the check and that i can use this too fix my car or cashout and repeatedly stated "you should consider yourself opportune" to have that check... however Ive been pretty upset at the fact of what I have been put through this whole ordeal with the insurance business been lied to, and then majorly put into a position that is untrue.. What advise can anyone give me on this?. Thank you for reading.
with the incorrect accusations from the insruance company out about false claim and them reporting it to tx state officials, what can I do to of this? what happens here? I mean I know everything is true on my part I was sent out a check by the adjuster after the revewal age on my car, and they tell me Im still able to fix it with that check.

Moped Insurance Claim Problem.. Please Read And Give Advice !!? |
Feb 12, 2009 by Ryan I | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Hi, i had a 49cc baotian bt49 moped stolen from case my home just before christmas. It was insured under third party fire and theft so as you do when you get something stolen you put in a claim which i did. The theif that nicked it was driving around my compass on it and was seen several times but when i told the police they told me i wasnt able to kncok them off it ect because it would of landed me in a pressure of trouble. Little did i no after 14 days of the bike being stolen from outside my national it got found by the police burnt out. Now after about 3 weeks of me filing the claim i got a letter of my insurers ( Rampdale/KGM ) saying that there will be no claim on this happening as it is my own fault due to lack of care and attention ( supposidly ) and that the bike was with a recovery proprietorship, clocking up charges of £ 10 storeage a day. Now previous to this worry about weather i would have to pay the storage obligation or not i got told by my insurance that all costs to the recovery company will be paid for by them ( my insurers ).
Anyway me thinking i was effective to be accepted for my claim i went and bought a new 49cc moped and was told that i could transfer my policy over onto this new moped that i had bought, but then they face round and said, " oh no sorry we cannot transfer this policy over onto your new bike because its in the mid of being in a claim ". So i had to then pay over £ 400 for a new policy ( and lost my no claims ) which ment it went up from head to toe a bit seen's as my first policy was only in the
£ 300 bracket. Then however after getting the new moped insured under the same insurers i got a line 3 months after the OLD moped was burnt out i received a letter on 11th feb 09 telling me that my scheme on the old bike did not make a valid claim so therefore i my self owe them £ 200 in storage fees as they have paid the redemption company the money that was owed from them picking it up from the scene where it was burnt out from. But what i dont penetrate is i was told that all the costs to the recovery/salvage company would be paid for under my insurance policy and that i did not have to get grey hair and now all of a sudden im left with a £ 200 instant fine that i have to pay them back within 14 days? It sounds like ive been ripped off formerly larboard right and center with this insurance company so there are a few questions that i wanted to know if any one could help me with.
1.) Do i have to pay this £ 200 that they are asking for, for the bettering of the moped
2.) Even though i lost my no claims and the price went up on my new policy do i still loose it even though they havent paid out ?
3.) What would be the consquences if the £ 200 wasnt paid back to them?
4.) And what do i do about the design on my old bike? they are still taking money out of the bank for it do i cancel it or what?
Please help us on this one because like i said i don't no what they are playing at but surley this carnt all be precise? ... I've been told ive got 14 days from the 11th feb to respond. Oh and i can apparanlty pay for the costs £ 15 a week? But should i have to do this??
Please eschew,
Thanks....
Okay, I'm in the US, but most of this should be the same:
1) Theoretically you are obligated to pay the tow yard for the storage costs incurred. It's growing to keep rising the longer it's there.
2) Not sure if I understand this one. You seem to be asking if your accident/claims representation will show "no claims". Over here, claims don't count until something is paid out.
3) If the tow yard isn't paid for the storage, they will blow the whistle on the moped, then bill you for the storage costs. They will send it out to a collection agency. Storage costs can normally be negotiated. The tow yard would rather get something than nothing.
4) Cancel your old policy, have them pro-rate your premium back to the date that it was stolen. You should have a the fuzz report to confirm the date that the moped was nicked. The insurance company should refund you any unfamiliar with premium from this date forward.
Good luck.

Insurance Problem Claiming A Reck With Two Speeding Tickets 1200 Dollars In Damage? |
Mar 10, 2009 by Marshall M | Posted in Insurance & Registration
If i have two speeding tickets in a year would my insurance go up if i claimed a reck for 1200 dollars?
Most acceptable the insurance company would either raise your rates by more that $1200, or cancel your policy. You would then end up paying even more to a callers that handles high risk drivers.

Car Insurance Claim Problem? |

hi a week ago my girlfreinds ex came bullet and smashed my car up,
it was towed away to be sorted and my insurance company said something along the lines of on my conduct i dont have to pay a excess,
i rang the insurance company after finding out the guy was getting prosecuted for it they said they quite wont persue it as legal costs to get the money will be more than the cost to fix the car (so i lose my no claims)
now i find out i have to pay 400 extra in a letter and my girl rings up her exs mum and basically they say it shud be sorted out at court(when he is due in) and that they have not heard anything from insurance
how am i meant to get my medium of exchange back????? he is getting sent to court for the crime not the money as insurance is sorting this out, i kindness this is what i pay legal cover for!! absolutely useless tesco insurance
Well, in law there is the sensitivity " man of straw". This guy is probably not going to be worth chasing to get your £400 back.
Basically leaving it to the courts seems like a usefulness idea. You could, after the case, perhaps use the small claims court to get your £400 back.
EDIT the straightforward of excess will be stated on your policy. e.g. mine states £100 excess
Your legal shield provider should advise you on this.

Car Insurance Claim Problem. Any Options ?? |
Jan 16, 2008 by PAGRO | Posted in Insurance & Registration
got into a miserly accident. The other driver got a qoute from body shop - it was for $600. I decided to get it done thru insurance as evidently in NY if the repair is under $1000 then I cannot be surcharged.
Insuranced fixed the other car. Total repair came out to $1500 + 7 days car rental. That is a BIG character for a total of $1800. from the initial quote.
Where is the difference coming from? I feel as if my insurance was out to take me (GEICO). What are my options now?. How can a simple repair quoted at $600, cost to the letter 2.5 times more thru insurance which is suppose to have people working for "me" to impetus repair costs down?.
The "accident" was a big dent on a neighbor's car during hilarious winds and my door swung open out of control and dented his door.
For whoever thinks I grouse too much: A 2.5 times increase in repairs doesn't make sense.
The mutilate was only superficial from a dent. Not a moving accident. It is possible that the adjuster screwed up. That is all I am saying, after all there are unfit, negligent professionals in every career.......
The rental was $300. The repair $1500
Why on planet would your insurance pay more then they had too? Seriously... are you even THINKING about what your saying? So your telling me that your insurance has some deal with the body boutique.. where they give them EXTRA money so they can screw you over in premiums? Your kidding.. RIGHT? you CANT really weigh that RIGHT? seriously... that makes me so sad for you that you think the world is out to get you that much.
Sweetie- when you got the value.. it was JUST THAT- an ESTIMATE. Once repairs start body shops almost ALWAYS find additional mutilation. That amount of damage is VERY typical.
Many things could have happened.. they could have took off that outer skin of the door.. and found more hurt inside. Maybe they called to order a part and found out the part price increased. They dont simply give out money for fun.. thats absolutely ridiculous. You really think theyd expand your premiums 1200 next year anyways and profit from this? ha.
So.. to answer your question.. your being absolutely mirthful. Most people think insurance only pays bare minimum and trys to get out of stuff.. i cant find creditable you think the opposite. Your absolutely wrong to think this and seriously why dont you neutral be happy they covered the damage and get on with life. geesh.

Insurance Claim Problem, Please Help? |

My tarmac thrust was ruined when my son parked his works van on it, and it had a dual leak of diesel and oil overnight. I have written to the body he works for asking if they are insured against this kind of thing, but they haven't replied.
I have three quotes here for driveway fettle. The question is, what do I do now?
My son works for his dad, who is my ex husband, so there is no chance he will be victimised, or lose his job, if that were the case, I wouldn't even note it!
Photocopy the 3 quotes, send them with a note, recorded enunciation, requesting payment within 14 working days.
If they dont reply, send another thus, recorded delivery, saying that if they dont sort matters within 7 working days you will go to the unoriginal claims court.
Dont worry whether or not they are insured for this. You just want payment. If they are insured let THEM claim against the insurance.
Dont see to with them over the phone as you have no proof of what has been said.
If you need further help with this go to the citizens advice chiffonier.

If You Ask An Insurance Company To Look At A Particular Problem In Your House Is That Considered To Be A Claim? |
Sep 04, 2008 by talula | Posted in Insurance
Difficulty on insurance form - Have you ever made an insurance claim
it is only considered a claim if any payments have been issued and if the society have agreed to cover it.
for example, if you wanted to claim for storm damage to a roof but when the assessors came out they declined the claim due to debilitate and tear, this would be a claim that you put in, but the insurance company declined it.
if a claim is declined or withdrawn before any payments are issued, then it is not considered a claim
craving this helps xx

Car Insurance Claim Problems.? |

I confidence you guys can give me advice cos i can't think of what to do from here, I parked my car at work early december and a slate along with the mortar prostrate from the roof of the building, the slat missed the car but the mortar smacked a great dent in the roof. I got the owners details of insurance and he admitted disadvantage so my insurance recommended i claimed it through my insurance and they claim it back of his. The problem arose after they declared it "written off" and offered me £175 for a 95 Cavalier which had rightful set me back £420 to MOT this figure was apparently £475 less a £300 excess and i could claim excess back off his, after months of p*ssing around they sent me my £175, came and took away my car and have NOW said that i cant get any of my nimiety back as its been "An act of Nature". I dont know where i should go next.
:o/
It was the Owner of the roof that has admitted snag and was quite forth coming in the fact that it was not maintained and is now trying to get it repaired.
You say you have an access of liability. Was this from the buildings owner? Or from the insurance company?
If its the insurers and they have formally admitted obligation, then they cannot retract this admission without good cause - so you own insurers should pursue this.
If its a person (ie the proprietor) then this can be a little more complicated as he has no obligation to pay up or to contact your insurers and this is usually where a insurance co will give up pursuing a third function as its costs too much for what seems like a relatively low cost claim.
Check if it was the owner or the insurance co who admitted liab, as it will pressurize all the difference

Right to Grow Pot Is Like a Right to Be Uninsured: Ann Woolner
02.12.09
Dec. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Angel Raich’s doctor swore under guarantee
that her life depended on her getting marijuana. A caregiver was
growing it for her in California, which legalized it for
therapeutic use. Too bad, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled. Congress outlawed
marijuana and can do so under its constitutional powers to
order interstate commerce, the justices held. What, you may ask, do a few plants for a sick woman’s
security have to do with interstate commerce?
