Which Companies Provide Aggregate Insurance Billing Services For New Health Care Providers? |
Jun 14, 2009 by Gretchen | Posted in Insurance
I am starting a new frame of mind health care practice. Some customers will pay cash, while others will submit their health insurance cards. In wonky to accept health insurance, it's my understanding that I will need to establish relationships with Blue Safeguard, Aetna, and other health insurance companies. Rather than spending hours and hours figuring out how to get and fill out the paperwork needed to found those relationships, I would rather deal with a single company that intermediates and handles that process.
I'm definite there are several companies that provide this type of aggregate health claims processing services, but specific recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
You destitution to call thelm, and apply to each one of them to be an "in network" contracted provider. It's Growing to take hours. You can't hire one company, as each agreement with each health insurer is UNIQUE. You will get paid seperate rates.
There are no companies that make this type of service, to the best of my knowledge, because effectively, you're looking at a contract between YOUR work, and an insurance company - a third party contract wouldn't be BINDING.
This is exactly why a provider isn't "in network" with ALL insurance companies in the status.

Can I Sue The US Postal Service For Refusing To Pay An Insurance Claim? |
Aug 16, 2006 by boubala34 | Posted in Law & Ethics
I purchased a very dear perfume bottle on eBay that was insured for $2000.00. I provided the broken hold, the packaging, proof of payment etc..Insurance slip etc.. to the local Post office clerk who processed the claim. Someone screwed up and they refused the payment with the two together argue with that I do not have proof that it was broken in transit. My local postman said to refile the claim as on the double as I receive the notice that my appeal is rejected but conveniently I have not received it. I wanted to place in order a claim in Small claims Court but I was told that I cannot sue the Federal Government in in small claims court. I reason that the Postal Insurance was handled by a private entity hired by the postal service? What Can I do?
nowdays u can sue for anything

How Do I Get My Dental Insurance To Process/pay My Claim? |
Aug 15, 2007 by dbrcymry | Posted in Insurance
I have dental insurance through WellPoint Dental Services. I needed a dental get and my dentist filed it and I received an approval/precertification from WellPoint in the mail. It said the insurance would pay $204 of the income. I had the procedure 4/25/2007. I paid my dentist in full (that's how he does it) and have been trying to collect the $204 ever since. I have called the insurance co and am always told it is in handle. I have written 2 letters with a copy of the precertification to the address on my card and have had no response. On 7/18/2997, a rep said that it had been misfiled, but it would be sent to claims right away and that all the necessary info was there. I have received no response to my letters, no check. What should I do now?? That SOP = 'standard operating procedure' was $1000 and I could really use the $204. Thanks for any help!
Scribble a polite letter of complaint to the Commissioner of Insurance for your state - at your state capital. Likeness to your insurance company's Vice President of Health Insurance Claims - or some similar person. The insurance assemblage is required to respond to the commissioner within 30 days. Every day after 30 that they are late, costs them $. You should get a provoke response. But, remember to be polite. You will still have the same insurance company. Most claim adjusters are over worked but real people.

How Can I File An Insurance Claim Without Provider Info Like Social And Date Of Birth? |
Jun 04, 2008 by sidney_1970 | Posted in Insurance
My ex squelch was ordered to provide health insurance for our two small children. His new wife then added the kids onto their insurance strategy and sent me a card to use. The problem i have run into is that we can't file without her social and date of birth and occupation info as well. The ex will not talk to me and i can not get any government agency to help either. Where do i need to turn? I estimate i could go back to Dept. of Human Services and tell Medicaid that his insurance can't be processed and see what they do.
Neutral because you don't have this info, doesn't mean the claim cannot be submitted. The card you got should have enough info on the subscriber for the provider to submit a claim. Any requests for additional info will go the subscriber.
Squat of that, send the bills to your ex with an explanation of what you need (certified).

Norwich Union Have Lost My Car's Service History. Can I Claim Compensation And Who Should I Contact? |
Apr 09, 2007 by Baz B | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Norwich Cartel settled a motor insurance claim for me, but in the process lost my car's complete service history. After many ring up calls over a period of months, and being constantly told the matter was being looked into, they in the long run admitted the loss, and also that the situation was unacceptable, being only able to supply me with photo-copies of the originals. Their claims conditioned by trust in suggested I should take the matter further, and said a member of their customer relations team would junction me. To date, nearly 2 months later, I have heard nothing from them. The service history was capacious, and related to an old vehicle with an exceptionally low mileage, so I consider it extremely important to the value of the conveyance. Am I right to ask for compensation for the loss, and also written acknowledgement of their incompetence!

Anyone Have Any Dealings With American Service Insurance In Elk Grove Village? |
Jan 31, 2007 by SuzeY | Posted in Chicago
My car got hit in a parking lot, and the human being who hit me has American Service Insurance. So far, they've been obnoxious to deal with, and I haven't even gotten the car into one of their body shops for an evaluate yet. I can't imagine how badly this is going to go. Has anyone learned anything about them that can help me get through this claims process before I bloom old(er)?
This should be sarcastically fun for you. Penitent. I did some research and they are whats called a "non-standard" insurance issuer. That means they submerge "risky" drivers. In fact, the following is how the Associated Newsmen describes a non standard insurer:
"Nonstandard is a polite way of describing insurers who cover-up risky drivers." -AP
I looked that definition up on an insurance industry definition website and found it referred to in several advice articles. They are a subsidary of Kingsway Financial out of Canada. being the type of insurer they are unfortunately you are succeeding to be in for lots of aggrevation. I got hit once by a person whom had very similar insurance. They used so many little tactics (legitimate too) to delay paying my claim. Was just a big mess.
What about your insurance? Knowing they will have to pay to fix your car if the other bozos don't they usually will succour you in recovering. Besides... your supposed to involve your auto insurance anyway regardless of fault. Don't go it alone. If you are and this fly by tenebrosity place knows your not also working with a big insurance company on your side they are going to delay or even skip paying your claim because they recognize most can't afford lawsuits like this on their own and you have no solid company backing you.

If A Hospital Fails To Send A Claim To My Insurance For Nearly A Year, Can They Bill Me Instead? |
Dec 16, 2008 by Missy | Posted in Insurance
In April of 2007 I was attending a reguarly scheduled prenatal assail when my blood pressure went up and my doctor admitted me upstairs to the labor and transport ward for monitoring. I received a statement with a message that they were sending the bill to my insurance. At the time, we had Aetna and with our sketch, all maternity/prenatal care was covered 100%, as long as we used in-network facilities/doctors, which my polyclinic/doctor was. So, I didn't think much about it. My daughter was born in June of 2007 and individual went on.... In July of 2008, I get a bill from the hospital for the date of April 2007 not up to par $500 for the services. When I called them up, they said that Aetna had denied my claim and I was responsible for it. We no longer had Aetna (formerly larboard them in September of 2007). But I called them anyway. They said they declined it because they never received the claim until March of 2008 - 9 months biography the required date for the hospital to file the claim. So, I called the hospital back and they said they would debate it with the insurance company. I didn't hear anything about it again. So, here it is, December of 2008 and I get the bill AGAIN. This time, they said the insurance agreed to pay a divvy up of it, about half. So now they are billing me for the remainder. Should I have to pay something that the insurance would have paid for in full if the claim had been processed when it was supposed to be - 2 years ago???
Really, all hospital services were covered under our plan - as long as our primary care doctor (or in my situation, my primary OB/GYN) was the person admitting me. I just spoke to the hospital on the phone, and part of the big problem is that the hopsital originally put in a claim but it stated that I was admitted through the ER (which has a $250 deductible and unless I was in labor is not fully covered by Aetna), rather than of the Labor & Delivery ward via my doctor. But either they didn't fix that or forgot to refile with my insurance for not quite a year, because Aetna says they never received anything else from the hospital and they agreed with me that it would have been covered based on my plot, but now they are unwilling to pay anything, because it is so past due and we have not been with them for over a year now. I asked them for another statement to see if they got rid of the ER code or not. Maybe if they did, Aetna will reconsider and pay?
Oh, I forgot to add that the only co-pays for my devise were for my first 4 prenatal visits ($10 each) - after that, there was no co-pay on regular or hospital visits for parenthood care and we only had a deductible for ER visits that were not referred to by a primary care doctor.
If they are in network, their engage with Aetna requires they file the bill within 6 months, OR EAT IT. So, according to their contract with Aetna, they may NOT bill you for the rest.
Write that up into a letter, send a copy to the hospital AND to aetna, and ask both the hospital AND aetna to retort be responsive to to that, IN WRITING.

There are lots of people who run leading businesses at VAs. You offer a wide variety of services and my first question is how someone could be good at all these things. I recognize it seems like it makes more sense to "do everything" but in fact you will be more successful in businesses if you can blurred your services on what you do best rather than doing a whole bunch of things so-so.
Then it's a question of whether you have a network of clients to start out with and/or money to advertise? Do you have the self-discipline to work from home? Do you need a unequivocal income immediately or can you afford to not make a lot for at least the first year or two? What about health insurance? Do you mind giving up paid vacations? Can you produce business insurance in case you make a big mistake for a client and get sued?
Being self-employed is a lot of conscientious work and long hours. Most people underestimate how much. But it is also very satisfying.
If you are in a position where you are not currently working full habits and you would just increase your time involved from hobby to business, I don't see a downside. What can it defective to give it a try?

What Is Keeping Inda From Starting Service Industry Companies Like Banking And Auto Insurance Companies? |
Mar 17, 2007 by markatger | Posted in Corporations
I occupied to work for an insurance company that has out-sourced some of their IT, claims and processing work. What is keeping India from honourable starting their own companies in these fields, selling these products to Americans at a fraction of what American companies debit and running American companies out of business.
India already has its own banks - http://funds.indiamart.com/investment_ in_india/banks_in_india.html
There are several barriers to check Indian companies competing in the US. I'm no expert in this field but would guess that each State has their own regulations as to who can do vocation, minimum capital requirements etc. Also, they may not necssarily be able to undercut American companies as their names would not be well known.
