What Kind Of Math Questions Are On The Assessment For Insurance Claim Adjusters? Any Helful Tips? |
Nov 11, 2007 by Insurance Rep | Posted in Insurance
This pertains to idiosyncrasy and casualty adjusters.
For ADJUSTERS? Deductible questions applying coinsurance, and depreciation issues. The coinsurances are always at 80%, the paradigm. AND, policy sublimits will apply, so keep that in mind, as well.

Nov 21, 2006 by Sugar | Posted in Insurance & Registration
After a car non-essential, any tips on getting the most for an insurance claim. I believe the car is totaled. They have yet to look at it.
But I want to be prepared on what to expect because I've never been through this before I heard insurance agencies have a leaning to shaft you.
dont get a layer they would get the spondulix ....first get an estimate from the dealer to fix it .2nd find a used car same type and as close as condition as yours thats for on offer ...now see wich is less ..thats what you will get .if they total your car press them into buying the used car for you they wont but you may get the bills......if you sue this will take about 2 years to settle

How Do I Claim Compensation From My Insurance For My Lost Bluetooth?Eligible To Claim, just Need Some Tips!? |
Nov 25, 2006 by ArtCafe | Posted in Insurance
That is, I am lily-livered they might reject it if I don't claim in a proper way. Accessories are included in my insurance. Do you have any tips for me on what to tell them, so as to get my money?Thank you!
In your insurance strategy there are sections ' what is covered' and a further section 'what is not covered'
when you word how you lost the device you necessary to say 'I was using it and a youth ran past and knocked it from my hand and it fell into the canal'
but not ' i radical it on the bar in the pub and when i went back it was not there.
One condition is due diligence, on all insurenca policies.
This means that you must act at all times as though you were not insured. (dont take chance just cos you know it is covered)

How Can I File An Effective Insurance Claim? |
Jun 08, 2009 by jaxhere | Posted in Insurance
What are the basic things that I must do, and optional things that I might do (depending on circumstances) to make sure that I get the highest accomplishable settlement for a car insurance claim?
What are the pitfalls to avoid in dealing with an insurance claim that could result in my getting less than I otherwise might?
What tips can people with knowledge making claims give to someone who has never had to do this before to help them get the best outcome?
you do not nation if this is your insurance company or a 3rd party if 2 vehicles involved and not at fault.
for your car; both companies pay to either repair your car or the value of your car pre-mistake. if totaled, they pay Actual Cash Value (ACV). So say you have a car loan of $5K and your car's ACV is $4K, that is all they can pay and you would owe your lien holder $1K stabilize on your loan.
If it is your own insurance, they will deduct your deductible for repairs or totaled.
The insurance always pays what they owe; no more, no less. If a repair purchase says your car can be repaired for $1,500, they they pay $1,500; if on your policy, they will pay $1K if you have a $500 deductible.
If you have rental, they will pay for this per your custom while in the shop for repairs or if your car is un-drivable until they either repair or settle if your car is totaled.

Anyone With Tips On Travel Insurance Claims? |
Nov 04, 2006 by busterdomino | Posted in Insurance
We have fair had to cancel a holiday because my wife's mother was taken into hospital. She is quite of advanced age and whilst her condition was not life threatening, she needed a drip infusion and was at first thoroughly ill. However, she is now much better although somewhat confused. I have checked the policy and we seem to be covered but I am a little involved that the claims people may say her condition didn't require us to cancel although my wife is an only son and her(my wife's mother) grandchildren for example live a considerable distance from us. Would increase any help or perhaps experience of similar situations.
It's a bit of a hairy one. It's really going to depend on your insurance company - the terms and conditions on your policy will be impartially vague about situations like this and are open to interpretation by the company. Your mother-in-law is proximate family, so this will give you some weight. I can only recommend that you make the claim and stick to your guns - hopefully you'll settle out on top. I'm sorry not to be of more help, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Tips On Filing Complaint With Insurance Commissioners Office? |
Jun 10, 2008 by Ms. Provocative | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Hello. Based on the suggestion I was given on previous questions I've asked, I've decided to file a complaint with the Insurance Commissioners intercession against my Insurer regarding a denied car theft claim. Any tips on filing this complaint so that it gets enough regard?
Can a complaint cause the insurance company to reverse it's decision? Thanks!
You must be a very diligent person to keep dealing with this claim.
Don't worry about it getting attention. Every Commish complaint I've had to surrebutter became an instant priority.
I don't know what state you are in, but I would recommend filing the Ins Commish grouse on your own. Don't send anything to the Commish on the attorneys letterhead. In the vast majority of commish complaints that I have dealt with they seem to serve people without lawyers more.
As far as the complaint, write it up in a professional manner, no name calling etc. Some of the defeat ones I have seen, listed a chronological order of all the important factors. The shoplifting, communications with the company and in your case list any times that other people may have had access to your keys where a dup could have been made/ordered. If you have a credit on the car make sure to include proof that your payments were current at the time of the heist. That would show that you would have very little motive to have the car "stolen."
Then put in ANY info or arguments you have for your importance that the theft was legit and why you think the company position is wrong.
Trust me the insurance flock will get a copy of whatever you send to the Commish. The company will go through it with a fine tooth comb, so reach sure everything in it is accurate or they will use it against you.

Feb 27, 2007 by llapczynski | Posted in Insurance
Hello! I have Voice farm ins. My pipe going to my washer broke-- flooded my basement. I have never filed an insurance claim before. Any tips would appricated. No structural mar was done--all personal stuff, w/d,liter maid, lots of books and paper items also sports collectables. How do I put a value on items that I can't by far replace?? Example--Super bowl XL ticket and program?? or Bill Cohwer/Jerome Bettes signed items, both have retired from the Steelers so getting another isn't thriving to be easy. Thanks for any info anyone may have.
Send in the claim first.. You have a contractual responsibility under your insurance policy (contract to file in a timely manner.
The will ask you a catalogue raisonn of items damaged.. tell them you are working on getting a list together.. the memorabilia.. go on border and check pricing, order it, give them a paid receipt.. and they Will pay.. you do have a replacement cost scheme.. right??
then it's new for old with a paid receipt.
as for the regular personal items.. get out the local JC Penneys, Sears, whatever and go shopping.. If you don't like to.. find a Mom, gf, etc... impel a list and send them.. you must know someone that likes to shop!!books.. paperbacks.. hit amazon.com.. Also place sure you have the receipt for the repair for the broken pipe repair.. keep track of everyone's leisure.. Sometimes, the company will count time spent against your deductible... it's worth a spot..
Get busy.

Somebody Tipped Off My Vehicle While It Was Parked On The Road. Can I Claim My Insurance? |
Aug 26, 2009 by Muhammad Usman A | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I parked my car on procedure and somebody tipped it off, My windows broke and all the left side of the car has been damaged. I have got Third party ,fire & swiping Insurance. can i make a claim against this damage?
Did you crash into someone ? No, then you can't claim on the 3rd cocktail portion.
Was it stolen - no! so you cant claim on the theft
did it burst into flames - no! then you cant claim on the fire portion.
What do you think tpf&t in fact means?
It means that any damage to your car is your responsibility or that of the other driver if there is an accident which is their fault.

Car Insurance Claim Appraisal? |
Aug 03, 2007 by Questioning You | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I was recently in an an mishap where the other party claimed fault. My car was totaled, and I have been in touch with the other party's insurance. They sent me an appraisal which was low, and doesn't seem to have included the following:
- Lo-jack
- Extended promise on the vehicle
- Trim of the car
Also, the zip code on the appraisal was wrong (maybe intentionally so) When I thwart on Edmunds or KBB, the private party value is at least 3K higher.
I am going to talk again with the insurance coterie, but any tips on how to proceed with this? I cannot go to an appraiser it seems since I do not have comprehensive insurance. I am based in California. Thanks
Precisely stay calm and keep a cool head. If you can SHOW the adjuster where they actually owe you more than their original present oneself they will pay. Edmunds and Kelly are not used for values most of the time -- you SHOULD be paid verifiable cash value (ACV) of your vehicle prior to the loss. Do some homework .. base as many vehicles as close to yours as far as mileage and options that are for sale in your area. Keep names and communication numbers handy and if the average price is indeed higher than the offer then tell the adjuster. They have nothing to benefit by making an unfair offer. Note: a professional tone and cool peak will get you MUCH more traction than screaming and threating to sue. If you run into a stone wall (the adjuster could just be a veritable tool -- thousands of them out there) then ask for a manager.
