Can Any Body From The Insurance Field Clarify? |
Question by Sridhar | Posted in Insurance
Is there any coverage for Frustration of Voyage the under Marine Insurance Custom? It happens at times, when a Vessel is attached by the even the lower most court due to some dispute not cognate to the Ship or cargo, the vessel is not permitted to sail because of some silly dispute between the wind-jammer owners/agents and the crew when even the junior most crew or employee of the shipping Companionship/Agents, joins some local unions and want to create problems. The Exporter after completing all the customs formalities loades the consignment on board the vessel, and the ship owner/agents accept the cargo and issues the Bill of lading in passable faith. Now because of the attachment order, the Customs willnot issue the Sailing apply for to the Vessedl, and the Port Trust will not allow the vessel to remain in the berth beyond the permitted days. The vesse is compelled to cede the bearth and remain anchored on the sea within the limits of Indian Wates. Under such circumstances even though the ark seaworthy and cargo is duly insured, th claims nor not honoured by the Insurance Companies. due on the ground that vessel is not considered sailed since the vessel remains in the Indian waters. The Shipping Band/Vessel Owners/Agents of the vessel who have collected the freight, are in a dilema and homily responsibility to rech the cargo to destinations as agreed, but are unable to do so since the cargo can not be unloaded from the boat without due proces of law. The vessel is considered as apart of the country-sovereign whose flag it carries. and Captain of the bark is the sole authority to decide any matter. The Captain is willing to reach the carload but he is not permitted to sail because of no fault of his. Over and abote the Vessel Owners/Agents have tobear the trouble of Crew maintenance, water supplies, bearth/water charges and other petty expences related to the vessel, becides loss freight and busines for the days the depart remain on anchorage in the sea. The Exporters do not get the cost of their good because the bills are not honoured since the goods have not reached the objective. If they had received the money in advance, they have to send replacement against the goods wthheld n lodge the disputed vessel.Ther have bee instances in Mumbai, where similar incidences occured like: M.v. Favourite Sea Gull, M.V.Janusha, m.v.Magdi Yacoob etc where even the President of India was unable to do anything in the occasion and the ships went corroded on the sea water and the goods lost along with the ship, but without any insurance claim honoured. Even though the likelihood of such incidents is 1: 100 the insurance companies have not been able to find a solution to this so far.

How To Reduce Insurer's Liability In Claims? |
Question by vijay d | Posted in Insurance
what are the steps insurance actors should take to reduce claims liabilities on different forms of insurance claims viz. marine, motor, fire, engineering etc
Answer: You do an inspection before you forgive the policy, and make the coverage contingent on conditions that include, oh, for example, that the custom holder not own or allow pitt bull dogs on the premises. It's called a 'disadvantage control survey' or 'loss control inspection'. Basic imperil management.

Can My Dad Get Health Care If After I'm Finish Marine Boot Camp? |
Question by Khanh V | Posted in Military
I about to take off less then a week to Marine Boot camp-ground in San Diego and I was wondering if my dad can get health Insurance. My recruiter did say yes as i can but i have to claim him as a dependent. So how do I do that and when can he get it?
also he also works under the table so he has no well-being care
Answer: adding your framer as a secondary dependent is very hard to do and can take at least a year before it can be done. as for actual health feel interest.. his option swill be VERY limited.. he CANNOT be seen off base at all and can only be seen on base as the lowest rank/category.. so if the clinic/hospital has no room, he cannot even be seen there.
trying to add a parent as a dependent Justified for medical insurance is foolish as bottom line, he wouldn't get much if any anyway. |

What Do You All Think Of The USATF Ban On Audio Devices In Sanctioned Events? |
Question by writeontask | Posted in Law & Ethics
Many method races are sanctioned. They claim the ban is a safety issue. I have been running road races for 20 years and have never seen an commotion related to that. I know part of it is the price of insurance shich is significantly higher when they are allowed. Based on what scrutinization and statistics?? I would die of boredon before missing an instruction... Nyc's response was interesting as was Marine Women Marathon. Grandma's did take it seriously. I know I will now never run Grandma's.
| Answer: I imagine the ban is a smart idea especially for traditional track and field meets. Most athletes use music to get in the "zone" and erase out their environment. This is especially dangerous around the shot put, discus, hammer, javelin, etc. People can question get killed or severly injured if they were to be hit---trust me, I'm seen it. |

Marine Wife Military Benefits & Life? |
Question by Brandy | Posted in Military
Hello everyone,
I'm getting married on the 21st of this month (in about two weeks) to a Marine, and I cognizant of NOTHING of what to expect. I have tried visiting the Marine Corps websites, as well as forums of military families to learn a petty more, but have been really unsuccessful in obtaining any solid information... So, I'm turning to the Yahoo community!
Basically, I would only just like any input as to what I can look forward to in the near future in terms of on-inferior life, being a military wife, and especially, the benefits that we will receive.
I do know about the manifest components such as TriCare, Dental insurance, BAH, and the like. What I'm more looking for are the additional allowances that will be provided (or not) depending on our discrete situation. For example, I am currently 4 months pregnant and was under the assumption that we could either choose on-situate housing if available, or off-base and receive a BAH, while also be allotted an additional allowance for our straightway-to-be. Some other posts and info I have read state that 1.) On-post housing is strictly for those couples that already have children, and 2.) that BAH is not awarded to those living on base, while still others have claimed you will give entr BAH as a married couple either way. It's all very confusing.
Also, I am curious about what the experience will be like in general. As I said, we will be married this month and my old man will then apply for us to have housing immediately after he returns back from leave. He will be going back first without me to get our house, will my emotive expenses be covered? And what will he need to have done prior to my arrival? We're also expecting in mid-late January, and I surprise if we will be receiving an additional allowance for our dependent as well (and if so, does this credit begin as shortly as we are married or once we have our baby. (The reason I specifically ask this is because we are not the most financially stable, and we want to scram sure ahead of time that we will be able to most appropriately take care of our child in a moored means.) But, before our baby even gets here, I know we will need to prepare a ton and complete lots of paperwork (such as DEERS and what not). But I’m not confident all exactly what, what we need to do together or separately, and want to be prepared.
He is currently ranked as either an E-3 or E-4, I advised of this affects pay and privileges, etc. And, we will be living at the MCAS Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Common in California..if that makes a difference as well.
Again, I just want to know what allowances and revenues we will receive. My fiance believes we will be awarded with on-base housing and/or BAH, a food stipend, an allowance for having a dependent child, and additional aspects which we already are sure of such as Medical/Dental, access to commissary, etc. However, he's not always the most sure in obtaining information, and a lot of what he has told me is only speculation. I'm the 'planner', so I have decided to oversee some of these plans myself and deepen more info before we end up rowing out to sea without a paddle so to speak.
P.S. - Just a note, I am in no way signification to come across as "expectant" of receiving benefits, and do not wish to seem stingy or unappreciative. Another post I read of a similar woman asking such questions was responded with very vulgar answers because people thought this. I think we all in this predicament just want to identify what's ahead, so only helpful hints, advice, and any other information given in a respectful procedure please.
***Since my searches have not been the most fruitful, any nice resource guides or websites that anyone may have to submit also would be high-minded. I was most interested in finding some more facts and possible photos of the on-base housing at Miramar. Again, foiled. Any help is MUCH obliged. And thanx so much.
Answer: u will only get BAH if you dont have on role housing.if you live on post they deduct the BAH out of his pay.. you get nothing more for having any children..everything is based on if he has dependents or not.. 1 or 10 doesnt purport how many..BAS is an allowance for food for the SM only its not meant to cover cost of food for the household.. you will get medical for let off and dental is a sm fee everymonth and you have to sign up for it seperatly, they will not pay for your move because he is already there and you are an aquired dependent.. but if he gets orders to go somewhere else PCS. .they will pay for it then, you will get an ID that will give you access to the commissary and such.
delete.. as far as taking care of all the paperwork.. you wont do anything he has to be the one to handle it all..
use this site to find housing. also it shows pics of on piling housing and off.. its strictly for military..
http://www.ahrn.com/index.php
edit.. one more point , the amount of his BAH will be based on the zip code where he is stationed. you can look it up here
http://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/perdiem /bah.html
and once u are married and submit all the paperwork for BAH donet foresee it right away it will take 30-45 days to kik in but it will be backdated to the date of marriage and you cant requisition it or anything else untill you have the certified marriage cert back |
