What Are The Financial Risks For Starting A Medical Insurance Claim Company? Is It A Good Idea? |
Question by guayacan | Posted in Small Business
Will doctors be interested to pay my troop to process their insurance companiy bills, so they will get paid more quickly?
Answer: Are you an whiz in medical claims processing?
You understand the process? Have the programs to do this? Know someone you can hire that has this consciousness? You want to make collection calls? You want to negotiate with insurance companies? You are hellishly detail oriented, keep extremely accurate records, and can find those records in a moments notice?
Yes, Doctors use that sort of service, and are happy to pay a percentage of the billings for that kind of service.
If you're in the USA, you'll have to abide by all the HIPAA Regulations.
I have a shopper who has over 50 employees, that is in this business, and is very successful. But he is extremely knowledgeable, he has key employees who advised all the ins and outs of the insurance claims processes, he has invested heavily in technology through the years.
It can be a tickety-boo business, but you need to have the ability to really take this over completely for the Doctor's. You will be their EXPERT. |

My Medical Insurance Incorrectly Processed A Claim And Now The Hospital Wants More Money...who Should Pay? |
Question by jgumby23 | Posted in Insurance
My son was born in primeval 2007. I paid my part of the medical claim in Jan. '08. The claim was reprocessed in July '08 and now my insurance says I owe the dispensary an additional $400 even though insurance admits it was them who processed it incorrectly the first time. Do I have any recourse here with either the polyclinic or my insurance?
Answer: Ugh. That stinks. The feature of it is, though, that you owe the money. If they had processed it correctly the first time you would have had to pay it then. Instead you got an 18 month remission. What they've done, really, is give you an interest-free loan for $400!
Still, it's not fun to have to pay more when you thought you were done. Try giving the hospital a call and asking if they'll defer the extra money, or settle for a lower amount. They should accept a payment schedule if you can't pay it all at once. I have one bosom buddy who pays $5 a month!
Also, you may want to go back and check all of the hospital bills to dream up sure you weren't overcharged somewhere. That could offset what you underpaid. And my insurance company had a program that paid me 50% of the demand for every error I found on the hospital bill. I made over $1000 from the several errors in mine! Not every company has such a program, and the front-line checking people didn't know about it, but I worked for the company so I knew about it. :)
Best of fortuity, and enjoy your son! |

Can You Claim A Medical Insurance Claim On Yout Income Tax? |
Question by CT | Posted in Canada
These claims will be instruction, dental and eye glasses.
Answer: Hello,
If I'm mastery of you correctly, you've submitted prescription, dental and eye glasses charges to a benefit design and presumably been reimbursed for some or all of the costs.
As such, the only amount that you can claim on your tax return is any amount that was not reimbursed by the insurance. For exxample, if your plan covers 80% of prescriptions and you paid the other 20%, then you can claim the 20%.
Also, if you pay any of the medical insurance premiums those can be claimed as a medical expense.

Can You Claim Medical Insurance Premiums If There Deducted Before Your Taxed On Your Pay? |
Question by Waterboy | Posted in United States
I may have made a fumble on my taxes.
| Answer: No! You already got a 100% inference for them by paying them with pre-tax dollars. If you claimed them on your return, it's time to file an amended results on Form 1040X and pay the extra taxes and interest due. It probably won't be a lot if you get the amended return in rapidly, but it's adding up a little bit each day that you delay. |

Insurance Medical Claim From Auto Accident? |
Question by alysha | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I Got in an calamity last week and have bad back pain. Went to doctor (I have health ins) and he diagnosed me with neck and back whiplash. How much will the insurance try to give me?
Answer: There's not enough info here.
Loaded for your own bills or are you looking for a claim for "pain and suffering?" If the latter, you need to add a lot more info - who is at exceedingly for the accident, has liability been accepted somewhere, does your policy allow you to make a claim for effeminate tissue injuries (what is the tort law in your state)?
Your own company should pay reasonable medical bills in any aver that mandates no-fault medical coverage on auto policies. If you're looking for pain and trial money, there's not enough information to answer that question. I recommend you call your insurance adjuster or agent for some warning and direction.
Feel better. |

What Is A Medical Insurance Claim, And How Does It Work? |
Question by Alex D | Posted in Insurance
Answer: A medical insurance claim is one filed by you or a medical provider to the hauler of a person's medical insurance.
Many doctors, hospitals, and/or emergency medical providers such as an ambulance, will submit a claim to an human being's carrier. Sometimes, the individual has to submit the claim.
Once the claim is submitted, the carrier will determine the amount of money they will pay toward that claim. If the claim is paid in full, the proper is not responsible for any charges. Should the claim be only partially paid, the individual must pay the remainder. Should the claim be denied in its integrity, the individual is responsible for the entire amount of the charges. |
