How Long Does It Take For A Motorcycle Insurance Claim To Be Paid Out After Being Reported Stolen In NC? |
Jun 29, 2008 by yaya | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Medieval history palmer is correct. They wait about 30 days to see if the m/c will be recovered. In the meantime, you will be asked to perfect state specific paperwork. Nothing will be done until all of the paperwork is received. You may be entitled to a replacement instrument until the m/c is recovered. Ask your claims rep.

Advice Required On Motorcycle Insurance Claim Please? Bike Stolen? |
Mar 15, 2007 by fitz7000 | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Hi, my bike was stolen recently and I'm in the procedure of submitting an insurance claim however on my policy it clearly states "kept in locked construction." My bike was taken from my driveway during the night, it was locked and had a cover on it, it's not a uninspired bike and would have taken at least 2 to 3 strong guys to lift into a van etc, I'm quite sure it was entranced with the lock still in place as there wasn't any evidence of bits of lock, brake disc etc on the driveway in the morning, all these details are on the patrol report, which the insurance company will obviously have access to. Does anybody know where I point of view with regards to my claim? or has anybody been in a similar situation?
If I'm not going to be paid out A) I've lost the value of my bike and B) My car insurance will also go up at renewal even if I don't get paid !! I'm livid !! Please Usurp!!
OK so strictly you did not acquiesce with the terms of your insurance that is "in a locked garage"
Now you may well have just got home and concisely went inside the house with the view of putting the bike away before distant to bed and simply forgot but who is to say at what time you get home. Could have been 12 hours before the theft or maybe 12 minutes if you get my pile. You might have just finished your "late shift" and got home at say 2am
Under this circumstance you would be responsibe to have secured your bike in the locked garage before for all going to bed. However if you were to have been going out a while later maybe after a shower then you might have left the bike out to re-use
It's all in the phraseology
Good luck and I hope you either get the bike back or the claim settled

Questions Regarding Motorcycle Insurance Claim. Thanks For The Help!? |
Nov 10, 2009 by Manuel A | Posted in Insurance & Registration
My bike has been in three accidents. recently someone backed into my bike and the insurance wants me to send them the calling orders for the last two accidents. I dont have the work orders because the bike was never fixed. I employed the money for something else. Is the Insurance not obligated to pay me for this accident until I show them the work orders. Or can I come to some type of an accord and show them what specific damage came from the accident that they are liable for.
Thank you very much for your help!
Try to dispense it out of pocket, otherwise insurance rates will go up much more. You can check how quotes will change here - autoinsurance.bebto.com

Motorcycle Insurance Claim? |
Apr 23, 2009 by STEVEN G | Posted in Insurance & Registration
hi i had two motorcycles stolen a month ago and i have received a verbatim saying that it is a write off but the insurance company is saying there is no sign of any lock or ignition damage and are asking me for my comments on this what are they looking for
Bothbikes were locked as they are sensitive i didn't see how the bikes were removed (otherwise i would have stopped them) and i found no sign of the lock has this happened to anyone else did they get paid out?
well the strange thing id when one of the bikes was returned (c90) the head light was missing wires were ripped off the ignition the front panels were shivered but it had the head light from the other bike (gs125) in the top box this is the one they are questioning now it seems pretty obvious to me that the turn on has been ripped out to get at the wires under the ignition
