Can I Still Claim Travel Insurance? |
Question by RAY | Posted in Insurance
I was on break from May 19th to the 29th. During that time I was seen by a doctor and spent more than 100 euros on both the call-out and the medicine.
I intended to gain the claim as soon as I arrived back to England, but unfortunately several events of personal importance have enchanted place and the insurance claim slipped my mind. I just now found the documentation I kept as evidence and realised how crave it's actually been. Is it worth trying to claim it now or will they tell me that I took too long?

Can You Really Claim From Travel Insurance? |
Question by JR2009 | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Is it in effect easy to claim from the travel insurance if your luggage is delayed or lost? Do you need to provide proof all the occasionally? If you miss a flight and have to pay for a hotel or if you have to see a doctor abroad, what is the procedure to claim afterwards. Are insurance companies trust in to pay back? Do they really give what they promise or do they make your life difficult when you want to get the money from them?
| Answer: Yes they are wary to pay. However they will provided you have all the bits of paper. For delay or loss you will need the Irregularity description you should get at the airport before you leave the baggage hall. You will also need the receipts for the things you had to buy, and in encase of loss proof of the value of what you lost. Tip: if you were going to Ibiza then they will be difficult if you claim for Armani suits! They will of obviously try to play down the value of used things. One major point: don't try to inflate your claim, it's duplicity; they are wise to most scams; and it will put a mark on your insurance record for the future |

Declined Travel Insurance Claim (UK)? |
Question by Marion-san | Posted in Insurance
I have had my travel insurance claim declined. The insurance fellowship made it clear that it is their final response to the issue and advised if I am still unhappy to refer the meaningfulness to financial ombudsman service.
I would like to know how useful this might be or whether it would be better to use insurance claim assessors post instead. Possibly, could I forward the matter to both financial ombudsam and private South African private limited company for further investigation.
Thank you for all your answers.
Answer: Well, you paucity to do two things: 1. read the entire policy coverage. 2. Look at the declination common sense, and see if the reason they cite is in agreement with the policy wording.
If the policy only covers cancellations for XYZ reasons, and your rational is W, then taking further action isn't going to help you AT ALL - it's not in the contract.
If the polciy covers ANY suppression reason except XYZ, and your reason is X, well, ITS EXCLUDED.
Travel insurance, like long term care coverage, isn't what people believe it is when they buy it - you need to know EXACTLY what's covered, for how long, and why, BEFORE you hand over the money. |

Travel Insurance Claim- Denied? |
Question by Mal | Posted in Insurance
My priest came from india to US, he had travel insurance. Suddenly he got stroke, admitted to hosiptal in US and he was taken back to india and he is continuing the treatment. Now the insurance rejected $80,000 claim since it was pre-existing term (it was his three stroke).
Now i dont have that much money since i came to US couple of years back.
Hospital and Doctor responsibility are sending receipts to my address...saying if i didnt pay it will goto collection intervention. Letters & receipts are coming in my father name.
Any suggestions to solve the issue.
Answer: Are you legally chargeable for his medical bills? I don't know the answer to this question.
You could talk to the hospital and ask about a more dependable price or you can use a medical claim review and settlement organization. If you visit MyMedicalcontrol.com they will try and round a lower price for you. If they succeed you will pay them 30% of what they saved you, if they are not able to get you a better payment you are not charged anything. |

1. why do they need details of it?
2. i dont have any native insurance so what do i do and will that affect my chances of getting paid out?

They essential to determine what, if anything, you are being paid by other insurance policies so that they do not pay you for a loss expense for which you other policy already paid or will pay.

Travel Insurance. How Hard Is It To Get A Claim Paid For Travel Insurance.? |
Question by geraldineodonoghue | Posted in Insurance
My friend died suddenly and now they want a medical cert filled by his G.P. Where do I get a G.P to fill this in as my partner was not ill.
Answer: Well, you won't. You'll demand the autopsy report and death certificate. AND, you'll need to figure out who the last doctor was, that he saw.
Fitting because he wasn't ill, doesn't mean he didn't have anything wrong with him medically.
You're not going to get a 'annihilation benefit' off that travel insurance, most likely. |
